I decided to continue with my digital work and focused more on using my threshold image using Procreate.
Image 1 - Threshold of my original image
Image 2 - Threshold of my cropped image
Image 3 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) I used the Liquify effect and then blended the layer using Overlay into the first image.
Image 4 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) I used the Liquify effect and then blended the image using Subtract into the colour layer.
Image 5 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) using the Wet Acrylic brush. I duplicated the colour layer to show more text and blended them using Screen and Lighten Colour into the first image.
Image 6 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) I used the Glitch effect and the Noise effect to create different colours, texture and grain. Then I blended the image using Subtract into the colour layer.
Image 7 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) I used the Liquify effect and the Glitch effect to create different colours and shapes. Then I blended the image using Divide into the colour layer.
Image 8 - Created a new layer, filled it with colour blocked shapes (in pink, yellow and green) I used the Halftone effect then I blended the image using Exclusion into the colour layer.
I love working digitally, I feel that it's a necessary part of my creative process before printing. I really like the shape of the colours in Image 3 but I also really like the texture that the colours have in Image 5. I like the added grain in Image 6, I think it works well to tie all the bright colours in with the black image. The glitch effect in Image 7 is very different to anything I've done before and it interests me so much. I don't think it's an effect I could do successfully while printing but I want to keep it in mind for more digital experiments.
