"IS THERE ANY DEMAND FOR A ROBOT ENGINEER IN THIS PLACE?"

Her suspicions are confirmed in but a moment. It's...

"Sonic, hi~!" She greets cheerfully. Amy wonders briefly if she should call him something else, considering her Sonic is here too, but puts that thought to the back of her mind. "It's freezing, but I think seeing this beautiful snow makes up for it."

She giggles at his enthusiasm in the middle of readjusting her scarf.

Even so, thinking out loud about that stuff when nothing dire is going on seems like a good time, and she enjoys listening to Sonic do just that. Much more a listener than a talker, as usual. The sparks dancing across his hand catch her attention. That isn't something she's seen the Sonic she knows do...could he do it? This is growing more interesting by the moment. "Yeah, it is," she agrees with a nod. "Even if Tails would probably be able to connect the dots better than us." It's not something she feels she has much valuable insight into. There was something he said that caught her attention a bit more, though.

Still, the thought leaves a fond little smile on his face. Though, it grows a little more solemn when the subject shifts. He glances away, one of his ears flicking back while he picks at the grass.

"Uh, she was the previous guardian of the Master Emerald. From the Owl tribe. Them and the Echidna fought over it a lot. Didn't really know any of that though, until, like, later. I just knew her as the lady who took care of me when I was little, y'know? I guess she was training me as her apprentice, though, cuz of my powers. Even if I didn't know it."

It's suspicious.

Sonic carefully approaches from the side when he's met with something totally unexpected—his own face. A slightly different version of his own face, that is; for one, his fur isn't that shade of blue.

Of course, seeing another blue hedgehog had his suspicions raised, but still...

He sighs.

"Don't tell me this is another one of Eggman's schemes again."

Okay, that wasn't the kind of greeting he got last time a doppelganger showed up. He gives the other Sonic a raised eyebrow.

Man, the other universes must have it pretty rough.

"Like comic books? Unfortunately, I don't really have expendable time like that to read comics..." There's a fire escape access so, Hawks flapped right on over there, landing casually so he could at least lean on the railing and rest his wings up.

"Though, I guess I do kinda have a comic book-ish lifestyle." He knew how to keep onlookers entertained and interested, that was for sure, if by embelleshing the truth, as he wouldn't say his life follows a comic book, but, to someone not from his world, they might not see it that way. So, he was good at playing into it!

He's talking, perhaps, a little too fast. Definitely very excited. It's not everyday you meet someone practically straight out of a comic book!
