Unfortunately, the blue blur catches Peter completely off guard.

He jumps with a yelp as the bag of chips he held in his hand falls to the ground in just the right angle for all of his chips to spill out. Peter groans, head tilted to the sky as he does. Gotta gather himself. This thing was just as lost as he was when he first got here. Gotta be nice. Karma, pay it forward, all that.

When he lowers his head to look at the source of the voice though, he's surprised.

"Wait-- haven't I already met you?"

"I've seen another...alien...whatever you are just like you here. You got a twin or something?"

Sonic didn't mean to startle the human, really. He momentarily glances at the chips on the ground and looks to the human with a sheepish grin. Whoops. His bad.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya." He ignores the alien comment—he supposes he technically is, to humans at least, but he prefers hedgehog—before blinking at the next confusing statement.

"What? That can't be right. I think I'd remember a face like yours," Then he remembers; right, he met another version of himself recently! His eyes widen slightly, "Oh! You mean the other me? We're not twins. It's... complicated."

Oh, wow, another him! So cool. They definitely have to come up with a way to differentiate between all three of them now, though...

Okay, that wasn't the kind of greeting he got last time a doppelganger showed up. He gives the other Sonic a raised eyebrow.

Man, the other universes must have it pretty rough.

"Robotnik? Yeah, no, he's pretty dead back home. This place isn't Earth or Mobius by the way— it's sorta like... A crossroads? Of the multiverse. Or whatever." He gestures vaguely around him. "Anyways, hi I'm Sonic! Wow, you're Sonic too? Awesome, totally unexpected, there's another one runnin' around the island somewhere right now too—"

"Dead?" That doesn't exactly sit right with him—he can't imagine a world without him around causing trouble—but he refrains from asking for now. Boy, this other version of him sure is chatty. Not that that's a bad thing. At least it seems like he's not another robot doppelganger.

He smiles and holds up a hand. "Okay. I think I understand what's going on now. I've already been to another world so it's nothing new to me!"

Admittedly, he's curious, so he asks "So tell me about your world. Is there another version of Tails there?"

It's suspicious.

Sonic carefully approaches from the side when he's met with something totally unexpected—his own face. A slightly different version of his own face, that is; for one, his fur isn't that shade of blue.

Of course, seeing another blue hedgehog had his suspicions raised, but still...

He sighs.

"Don't tell me this is another one of Eggman's schemes again."

In this new place, Sonic quickly finds himself taking jog zipping in and around buildings. Strangely, there's no one in sight, which makes him question what planet he's actually on, until he spots it; something that puts that doubt away.

A human.

"Hey!" He skids to a stop and approaches with a hand up in greeting (if this is truly Earth, there's a good chance he'll be recognized instantly.)

"Sorry to bother ya, but I'm trying to get back to my friends. Somehow we got separated," He puts a fist on his hip and gestures vaguely at himself with the other. "You haven't happened to seen anyone like me, have you?"
