I just thought of an AU where Vanora realises he is a trans man and how i imagine each character would react if he came out as such. I havent decided on what his new name would be, so im just gonna be using Vanora/Valeria with he/him here.
Vincent would be polite, correct himself to calling him a gentleman, his gender wouldnt make too big of an impact on the way he'd see him, he'd merely make a small change in his language.
In the scenario of Valeria (memoryless) saying he is a man and choosing such a name, it would merely intruige him in the sudden difference of identity in a memoryless state compared to before.
Victor would react similarly to Vincent, towards Valeria he would politely change his language and would only be intruiged in the guniea pig testing sense.
If it happened in the ICIJ enviroment, he'd acknowledge it and change his language, slightly surprised by the Inspector's sudden agency in identity, perhaps even comment on its unusualness, as Inspector is very much a Myers pawn otherwise, and would warn him that Myers doesnt take lightly to his pawns having open self agency. Though, he wouldnt go out of his way to stop him if he wanted to come out to Myers about it.
Draco would be lightly surprised, though he'd obviously respect him, and would continue to be in love with him. He could say he never expected to be in a relationship with a man, and in my opinion, this would make him realise he is heteroflexible, or bisexual/biromantic.
Claude is quite fatherly towards the Inspector, he'd accept him with warmth. He'd compliment his new name, and be extremely encouraging to him about his own identity, he'd feel proud of him for discovering himself. However, he would definitely warn against telling Myers about it, as a discovery like this is really only possible if one pays a lot of mind to themselves, and he would be afraid that Myers would pick up on that and ruin the Inspector's progression towards a life of his own.
Myers, if the Inspector would come out to him, would seem accepting at first, no longer calling him a girl or using she. Myers isnt a transphobe in the ideological sense, he doesnt believe any gender bioessentialism crap, however, i imagine he is more opportunistically transphobic, in a sense.
He would accept him on the surface level, but after this moment, he would start to imply in conversations that the Inspector is losing his loyalty to the corporation, that he is getting more distracted lately, regardless of how good the Inspector's performance is. Inspector would pick up on this, he'd try his absolute best to prove himself to myers, to no avail. He would realise it has to do with his identity as a trans man, he'd start to feel guilty, that he isnt focusing on the corp full-time, that it must be distracting him, that it isnt important and that he shouldnt have ever brought it to the surface.
Really, this can only go two ways: either Vanora rejects Myers, rejects his Inspector label and chooses himself, which Myers could pick up on and get him murdered for, or Vanora goes back in the closet, giving in to Myers' control, continuing to simply be the Inspector, his brainless pawn, falling back in line. I imagine Myers would even congratulate him for detransitioning, for becoming loyal to the company once again, the rat bastard he is. Though its a question on whether he'd ever truly trust Vanora again, or if he'd simply discard and replace him as soon as possible afterwards anyway.
And really, its all without any direct essentialist transphobia, simply the "danger" of self agency is enough to make Myers target him, and it never matters how much Vanora tries to do both, there can never be both. Allow one thing and that is enough to collapse his entire structure of control. That cannot happen, ever.
Dino, as the Myers pawn, would definitely report it to him if he found out, outing him. As mentioned before, its showcases a level of self-agency, which is a threat to the existing structure.
Zalmona would be enthusiastically supportive of him, cheering him on, telling him its wonderful he discovered himself. Perhaps she could give him some advice about passing (good or questionable lmfao), and would definitely be the type to help him with clothes shopping or something similar if needed.
Winston's honest reaction to that information: cough.... cough cough
And that's everyone relevant!
I enjoy how Myers's brand of transandrophobia is so in character of him. The constant malgendering, manipulating Vanora into detransitioning, not done to be transphobic in how we're used to, but in a way that's characteristic of this bastard. His pawns are made to be just that, pawns. So any display of autonomy and control over oneself is a direct threat to his schemes. (Sorry Myers fans but we're gonna have to kill him now.)
Claude is once again father of the millenia! He'd be protective of the boy, physically and emotionally. So long as Vanora is with him, he does not have to worry about any threats to his identity. And I imagine Claude would be very cautious as to not out him to Myers or anyone dangerous.
It would be so cute if Draco suddenly fell head over heels again after Vanora came out to him. Draco's feelings for him got stronger, perhaps it's because he got to see him in a new light. And also...
Diversity win! Draco questions his sexuality.
