Nothing Gets Crossed Out

Are You Alone? is yet another masterpiece from camp Majical Cloudz, who does so much with so very little. Downtown is the most melodic (well, melodic…) song off the record and serves as the yellow duck in a bath of tears. Below the sense of sadness actually lays a beautiful love story (”I’m going crazy / crazy for you”) and a sense of humour (”If it ever goes wrong I’ll write you into my all of my songs”), but it’s not really the sort of song you’d think teens would post on each other’s Facebook walls  to show their appreciation for one another (apart from those hipster teens). Are You Alone? is out on October 16 via Matador, and well worth a dip.
