It hits him pretty hard. Nobody's ever questioned his worth as a heir, and anyone who did never lasted long thanks to his family influence in the coven. He grew up praised as the golden child, a miracle— at this point, being the sole heir of the Sylv family is his whole identity. doubt that, and you're basically denying everything he's known to this point.

Of course it makes him mad. He doesn't know how to handle conflict, so he goes straight for violence. Don't believe for a second that his lack of achievements mean he's weak; If anything, being a brute is all he has going on for himself. they better hope they're either strong enough to tank his attacks, fast enough to evade, or lucky enough to have Albion around to calm him down

The mention of his markings brings a satisfied grin to his face. He's proud of them— proud enough to take his glove off and show the intricate design

"That's a magic enhancement!" He begins, flexing his arms to earn some compliments. "They help witches channel energy and cast spells. Not mandatory, but any self respecting noble gets them to push themselves above the peasants."

It feels like an insult. Spirits of the dead can't change their outfits at will, being stuck with the appearance they had in their finals moments. They can throw all the clothing they want at him, he'll never be able to wear a single piece of it. He's stuck wearing the lingerie that makes him feel so rotten.

Albion is a ruthless, business obsessed witch. Relationships with other people have never fulfilled him— No matter their nature, how toxic or healthy they are, they leave him empty and bored. Rather, what makes him smile are good investments, what excites him is driving competitors into bankruptcy, what frustrate him are failed business endeavors. One way to describe Albion is 'great at selling things, subpar at being human.'

"That scar...? Oh, Mother bore a similar one. Father decided to replicate it on my face." The casualty with which he said that is worrying at best. He doesn't look hurt recollecting such a horrible memory, or hesitant about telling you— It's just another boring fact of life to him. The sky is blue, dirt is brown, his face was terribly scared by the man who raised him.

"I was lucky to keep my eye," he begins "Perhaps it was Helel's will, or perhaps my father was merciful enough to keep the cut shallow. I could be something else entirely, even." He marks a pause, catching a glance of your expression.

He looks a little confused, if anything.

What is the world of your game like? What kingdoms/countries are there? What era / genre is it? Are there any major religions / major groups that hold power? (Cults, Military Dictatorships, Basically any organization that holds sway over people) Are there any worldwide cultures / worldwide superstitions?

The setting is a modern, 21st century world. Sky scrappers, corporates slaves, cars— all that stuff. Spirits are believed to be superstitions, and both witches and onmyojis work in secret to keep their existence under wraps. It's not too unlike our world, yeah?

Witches live in covens, ruled by Matriarchs/Patriarchs. They're usually hidden away in forests or deserted areas and camouflaged with magic. They're good enough at hiding that no one is aware they're around outside of onmyojis and spirits. Since their living condition isolates them from society, covens are kind of stuck in the 17th century. Lastly, a lot of witches worship spirits of whispers like Hecate, Ahriman, Seth... beings commonly called gods

The bureau of Onmyo used to work with shoguns, emperors and the likes through history, but were outlawed in 1870 due to the belief that they were spreading superstitions and lies to the people. The practice was depenalized only a few years back, and the bureau was allowed to reform officially. Officiously, they never went away— they just kept working in the shadows.

Mosquitoes are the bane of his existence. He spends most of his days outside taking care of plants with very light clothing, so mosquito infestations will render his back and arms red with bites. He'll scream, whine, scatch the bites— make a nuisance of himself, and probably try to pour rat poison in whatever body of water they decided to breed in. Please stop him from doing the later.

He doesn't really notice them if they're not flying near his ears, so he's mostly tranquil. He doesn't really get bitten either since he's, y'know, not physical. He doesn't have any blood to be drunk. He'll mostly shake his head until the noise is gone and go back to what he was doing

Magic is learned, and quite literally anyone can become a witch with the proper education.

To be able to use magic, you need to create a connection with the supernatural. That connection can be made by interacting with a spirit, witnessing someone use magic... Anything that would make you go 'oh shit! that's not normal!', basically.

After that, you need to choose a medium through which you'll practice magic. That medium is usually something you gather out of nature, and that is ripe with energy. Stones, herbs, water, bones, dirt— Hell, even the very air we breathe can be used. Some mediums are easier to use than others, it's up to you to choose what you want to use.

How does it work in your universe? Can a crystal run out of magic? Can it be recharged, and would it be expensive? What are the lower ranking crystals, like garnets v rubies?

So crystal magic— Basic rundown is, crystals contain natural energy, and by drawing that energy out, crystal witches can use magic. It's the same for all types of magic, it's by drawing out energy from whatever tools they use that they can cast spells and such.

Crystals can run out of energy, in which case they're sent back to a mine, aka an alchemy workshop, and recycled into a new stone with energy. Alchemy works through the law of equivalent exchange, so for a bunch of not charged stones, you can get charged stones.

As for rankings... A type of stone isn't inherently less good than another, since what witches seek isn't rarity, it's energy. The more energy there is a stone, the better it is, no matter if it's a lower rarity stone. Different stones may be used for different effects though! Like each plant has symbolism, each stone has a meaning

He doesn't exactly need to be taken care of, being a spirit with centuries under his belt and all, but... He's not gonna let that stop him from acting like a cuddly puppy who needs pampering! As wise as Gou usually makes himself out to be, he's still very aware that he's a needy dog who gets lonely easily, so any coddling is very welcome! And of course, expect him to coddle back twice as hard.

Rokian's mother used to take care of him like that. She used to brush his hair, share whatever meager meal she earned with him, help him clean up after clients... But then, she left. If anyone else, be it a S/O or friend, acts like that, he'll assume they'll leave like his mom did, and actively try to push them back. He doesn't need any more disappointments in his life, so he might as well nip any relation that could turn sour in the bud

His own brother isn't nearly as affectionate, so he doesn't really understand why they act so kindly with him. They don't seem to be doing that out of fear, either. It's a mystery, but he's grateful for the positive attention, and will pray for their safety every night. He's likely to try to repay their kindness, usually with trinkets and charms he made himself.

Oh, Basil loves getting pampered like that! He doesn't have any siblings around, so he wouldn't really register that the way they treat him is pretty familial? He'll assume they're just someone who recognizes he should be worshiped and acts accordingly. He's also likely to pamper them back with the most expensive gifts he can get his hands on.

He's a bit on the oblivious side himself, especially when it comes to love, so they're in the same basket. He'll assume that anyone with a crush on his S/O is a friend of theirs— which if anything, will make him happy. He's glad they can retain some friends, even after getting into a relationship with a cursed witch like himself. As for their S/O's intelligence, Galatea isn't likely to treat them any differently because of it. Maybe he'll ask them some help deciphering old tomes from time to time, but besides that, not much.

He's really thankful they're so oblivious. Albion isn't really one to surround himself with people he can't manipulate— but at the same time, he wouldn't keep useless people around him. His S/O is a perfect mix of 'unable to tell when he's full of shit' and 'absurdly clever and useful'. It's like they were meant to be! As for any potential love rivals... Well, they'll be dealt with away from his S/O's eyes. They're too good of a catch to be let go.

"Wh—" A kiss lands on his forehead, and the spirit jolts back. Now clutching his head like you gave him a headbutt, wings flapping out of anger, or maybe embarrassment, Child lets out a frustrated growl.

"I told you! Don't do that! That's weird!" He scoffs, curling on himself a little. "You dont put your mouth near something if y'don't wanna eat it! Next time bite me, and I'll bite ya back harder. Break your bones kind of hard."

Gou doesn't really look for any traits in a partner— over the years he's grown to appreciate a wide variety of characters, from airheads to philosophers, saints to sinners... He can get along and enjoy pretty much anyone, and that goes for dating as well. Even if his partner has some traits Gou dislikes, like dishonesty for example, he believes that kind of things can be worked on, so it's not really a big deal
