i don’t talk to the boy who picked me up off the streets in below freezing weather in the middle of the night after i was assaulted. i haven’t seen the girl who took me to the police station after he wouldn’t stop leaving me “gifts” at my home in a year. i don’t know whats going on with the childhood friend who made sure i ate when i was scared and paranoid and sleeping on my floor. the boy who made sure i felt safe again unfollowed me recently and i did the same. all these people helped me through something i will never forget when i needed it most and i can’t bridge the gap to say anything to them again. love makes us stronger and helps us grow but i feel so twisted and gnarled that i … i lose steam and don’t even know. i give up before i can even get to the point. i miss who i was. i miss my friends and before i was too scared to speak. whatever. i will do whatever i can to show and give love now.
