MAJOR NECI RUSALKA in WARFRAME: 1999.
Annnndddd she has a name and some backstory lore…..
anyway lore that's been concocted that hopefully is loose enough to fit whatever lore there is in the game itself
Charissa // Carissa aka Crissy
First Life 14th Century (Game set to come out later this year)
Soft, compassionate, loyal, determined, faithful, to paraphrase Lyon "I do not condone murder in cold blood. It is a sin. However. If you find a way to kill big bad? ... All sins can be forgiven.", not much of a fighter but can better charm/work her way into places given her reputation, Jill Warrick would be a character she's most like.
She and Coen grew up in the same village, with plans to eventually wed as they were besties and was obvious they both liked one another as more than just friends. Until she was 15 and her family was attacked and killed by the vampires (why she was left alive is unknown at this time). She was then sent to live with an aunt that had quickly arranged a marriage that was more advantageous and Charissa was to live with them until she was a bit older to wed. The attack left her with scars on her face and the suitor changed his mind, both not being attracted to her but also it read as a sign of bad luck, especially since once she got there (he lived in another country practically) she got word her aunt succumb to the plague/died. She was left on her own with nothing and so began to take odd jobs to eventually work her way back to the village with Coen since that was home to her. She was close to making it back by the time they meet for the first time in years during game events. The feelings for one another never left and come back in full swing. However he worries how she'll react to finding out about the whole dawnwalker thing, especially once he finds out what happened to her and her family. This is eventually something that does come to light and she tells him "Why would I ever have need to fear you, Coen? No matter what you become you will always be the farm boy that would sit in the trees with me to eat the harvest and watch the sunset." or something like that, but like she has no fear of him and wants to help him stop the vampires from taking the throne and save his family. And she does help in whatever way she can. Now the tragedy is that she has to die, and she does, unknown at current moment but possible the head vampire guy (baldy) will be a constant villain and so the Coen gang think they've won, his family will be safe (though I'm guessing he has to leave them because of you know being a dawnwalker) and there are talks of marrying but baldy comes and kills her in front of him. Like its so sudden and he can't prevent it and she dies in his arms kind of thing, probably gets bitten and bleeds out.
and something something who doesn't love a good reincarnated lovers trope with vampires involved. so here's the small bit for the eventual final game
Life ??? (final life potentially) Modern Era
Scrappy, to tired for this shit, blunt, loyal, hesitant to befriend, lonely, caring, pragmatic, bit more of a fighter and would rather try to strong arm her way in or use others as a distraction to sneak in, most like characters Lena Luthor and Charlie from Arrowverse.
She is now Carissa, but goes by Crissy and is just living life, she is also the life that looks most like og Charissa, but there is no genetic relation to the og. She was once a track star/marathon runner, and was in a happy family until a car accident when she was 15/16 and she was the only survivor. However her heart was damaged enough to warrant a heart transplant but could live if she took it easy, but in a few years time she gets a heart (none in her family were matches or it wasn't viable given the amount of time between some of them from the doctors finding out she'd need a heart). She is left as an orphan but does do school and runs a little here and there but isn't the star she once was. She's walking home from her job one night when she finds Coen hurt and a little out of it and takes him back to her place to patch him up. In his state he sees her face and the necklace and starts mumbling and calling out to her, which she finds weird because how does this guy know her name, was she actually helping her stalker? Which if she is then oh well so be it she'll just keep a knife on hand. Eventually he wakes up and is confused and he's hit with some shock when seeing clearly that Crissy is Charissa's clone. Crissy asks him who Charissa is and is relieved when he says it was someone he once knew and that he has no idea who she is. She introduces herself and he's even more taken aback because here she is in the flesh, with the same name, and upon closer inspection has the (near) exact same necklace as the og. When he asks about the necklace Chrissy tells him it was passed down in her family as some great-great-great grandmother or another bought it at auction before their fortune was lost and it was handed down. The chain is no longer the original but the cross is and is the last thing she has of her family and so keeps it close despite not being religious herself (unlike Charissa who is faithful). The external reason she has it is that Charissa was buried with it but eventually archeologists found her body and the necklace and it was bought and sold as an artifact until kept by Crissy's family and it was lost to that community. But they talk and the big bad baldy interrupts and makes a mess of her place and Coen tries to protect her but once again fails due to surprise and being a bit weak from previous fight. Baldy has Crissy and mentions how much she looks like the og and he'd almost believe she was like Coen if he didn't sink his teeth into her neck personally all those centuries ago. Which has our girl like confused and forming questions and also a bit scared cause she's unaware of vampire's being a thing. Baldy is readying to kill her while Coen tries to bargain for her life and she takes advantage of the distraction and bites/claws/fights her way out of his grasp and starts running grabbing onto Coen's hand part of her knowing that she can trust him as latent memories begin to awaken. And that's how she begins to get tangled into that whole world and plotline. The injuries to her heart and chest don’t flare up unless under vigorous exercise because probably lost part of her lungs and the stress response can at times make her heart cause an arrhythmia even though there isn’t anything physically wrong with it. A bit of a psychological issue there. But once a safe ish enough distance the trouble breathing hits her and Coen is trying to get her to move and he at one point just says “You know running isn’t so easy when you’re missing parts of your lungs asshole.” Which throws him and doesn’t cause Charissa would never, but also he can’t blame her for her reaction.

the first law of tragedies: the end is already written and inevitable. the second law of tragedies: your actions are all your own and you can choose to get off this ride whenever you want. the third law of tragedies: we both know that you are never going to do that.
