Ferrari Testarossa (1984)
"Well known as the rival to the later versions of the Lamborghini Countach, the Ferrari Testarossa still managed to shine as a worthy contender despite it's lower power output. It gained its reputation not by shear performance but rather, its star appearances - being featured heavily in the media, most notably Miami Vice.
RANDOM FACT: All Testarossa came out of the factory with a black rear emblem. However, most Ferrari owners disliked it and changed it afterwards for a chrome horse."
Lamborghini CountachΒ LP500S (1982)
"Like the Miura, the Lamborghini Countach a work of art by Gandini and was particularly popular for being different. It wasn't the longitudinal V12 which did the trick but its sharp, angular design and a giant wing mounted on the back (which was entirely useless). And because of its outrageous and impracticality, it soon became known as THE 80's icon - Β making Lamborghini a true threat to what dominated exotic market, Ferrari."

Subaru Impreza 22B (GC8E) 1998
"One of the rarest model variations of the Subaru Imprezas, the 22B was seen as the top of the line model of it's generation. With the full WRX STi bells and whistles, a 280 HP turbocharged flat four engine, and wide-body kit in coupe format, the 22B was seen as a extravagant celebration of Subaru technology and its success in WRC. Subsequently, the whole limited run of 424 cars (400 in Japan) sold out within 48 hours of its release and still remains as a one of the most valuable Subarus today."
Toyota Previa (1996)
"Known as the family man's hoon machine, the Previa came in a very unique layout for a familyΒ van. Available in RWD or 4WD, the Previa was well liked by many. However, it came with the rise in popularity of American V6 Minivans, and the Previa just failed to compete with the high power, high torque alternatives. Subsequently, the front mid-engined Japanese people mover was given a makeover, with a supercharger bolted on to give it an extra 25 horsepower and a better mpg - becoming the well-loved and appreciated icon that it is today."

Rest In Peace, Sir Jack Brabham
Ford GT40 Mk I (1968) #6 John Wyer Automotive Engineering (Gulf Team Livery)
"The Ford GT40 was a remarkable car. Built with barely any experience with mid-engine cars, the Ford GT40 still managed to surprisingly dominate international endurance racing for 4 consecutive years. This particular car, despite it's aging chassis and mechanics was still able to win the 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans, narrowly beating the new and highly competitive Porsche 908 by only a few seconds and cementing itself into the automotive history books."

"Today marks the 20th anniversary of a tragedy, where two Formula One drivers, Ronald Ratzenberger and Aryton Senna, lost their lives within a day of each other on the Imola Circuit in 1994. Although they are too late to bring back, the tragedy led to important reforms on safety in which Formula One is famous for today."

Toyota Camry SE (2012)
"because you know, it felt 'grounded to the ground' ... ... ... what?"

Datsun S30 240Z (1973)
"Known as the Japanese budget 911, the 240Z was attractive to many buyers both in form and functionality and quickly became successful around the world. This came as a huge boost for the Nissan Motor Company, which changed it's reputation from an high-volume econobox manufacturer into something different with fun and enjoyment as priorities - in which the company has been closely identified with to this very day."

Toyota AW11 MR2 (1984)
"The small and light MR2 was something no one had expected from Toyota, known for their economical and practical family cars. The two-seat MR2 was definitely not practical as a family car, nor was it intended to be, having been designed instead with style and sport as priorities. The moniker 'Mid-engined Runabout, 2 Seater' was more than a marketing tool - it was the fundamental design philosophy."

Tyrell P34 (1976) 1976 Elf Team Tyrell Livery
"Known as the 'six-wheeler', the P34 quickly gained it's reputation as one of the most radical designs in the world of Formula One. The six-wheel design reduced the lift which would have been caused by two larger front wheels, improving frontal downforce, increased the total contact patch of the front tyres and created a greater swept area for the brake discs. Although, it wasn't particularly successful (only managed 3rd and 5th overall, in the 1976 and 1977 seasons respectively), the Tyrell managed to put it's mark on the racetracks as it prompted Ferrari, March and Williams to do their own research and figure out what was actually going on."
Lamborghini Miura P400 (1966)
"The Miura stunned the world in the 1965 Turin Salon when it's revolutionary V12 transverse-mount mid-engined rolling chassis was unveiled. Showgoers were so impressed by the prototype that many put down orders even though the final bodywork was still incomplete and hidden from public view. With the bodywork entrusted on design specialist Bertone and penned by a young Marcello Gandini, buyers had nothing to worry about as the Miura became one of the most beautiful sports car of the 60s."
Saab 96 (1967)
"Powered only by a two-stroke, 3-cylinder 841cc engine, the Swedish Troll had negligible horsepower. Despite this, the Swedes were still brave enough to rally these beasts at full throttle - probably because once you let go, it'll take a year to get back up to speed"

Maserati 250F (1957) Juan-Manuel Fangio
"Initially in 1st place, a pit stop disaster pushed Fangio down to 3rd place. Nevertheless, he was still determined to catch up and in doing soΒ broke and rebroke the lap record 9 times to eventually take the win of the 1957 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring"
