Rokuro Bunto Saturabi (Left) Late 20’s She/Her + He/Him  6’2 (ish)

A rather “eccentric” and concerning biophysicist, he’s always had a large interest in human anatomy, biology and the likes ever since he was a kid. Which isn’t surprising, what with his mom also being a rather divisive scientist herself and exposing her and her older sister to such fields of study from a young age. Right before graduating medical school, she was caught in a huge scandal involving numerous charges and allegations, some included odd rumors like illegal transportation of human body parts and cadavers. Thankfully for her, there wasn’t enough evidence for the more extreme charges/allegations, and her sentence was lifted by a good few years; she even got to still graduate.

Now having gotten out from serving her 2 year prison sentence – thanks to the help of a close friend paying her bail bond – she’s been doing random jobs, since she’s not allowed to step foot into a lab for a while. One job in particular ended up leading her to meeting Masaka, a woman who she seems fixated on learning more about, much to the annoyance – and yet mutual interest – of Masaka herself.

She enjoys studying anatomy, dissections, biopsies & autopsies, watching war footage, reading about medical histories & procedures around the world (especially its gorier parts), David Byrne's music, and many other kinds of interests (primarily macabre). On the side, he’s a Drag King with a theme of being a “mad scientist” and often performs at the same venue with another popular underground Drag Performer and their four other siblings (who are also popular underground Drag Performers).

Masaka (Last Name Undecided) Mid 30’s She/Her + They/Them Somewhere around 5’1 1/2 (with shoes) and 4’11 (without shoes)

Knowing that she’s the second oldest of six siblings that belong to a single, emotionally troubled and neglectful mother who seemingly didn’t want to stop having kids makes her personality make a lot of sense. She’s always been desperate to prove herself as The Best, in her words, “showcase how powerful I truly am!”. Control and power was everything to her; it was what she lacked all her life. Hopping from hobby to hobby, she never found solid ground on what she was really passionate about, since it was all to impress whoever she wanted to impress. With how often she was looked at oddly due to her mannerisms, and how often she was pitied because of her health conditions, can you blame her?

As of today, she lives in an apartment complex with multiple other people, the building owned by her mother’s close friend. She likes staying inside, only really coming out more often at dusk/dawn/night because she believes her sense of grandiosity could “easily be sabotaged”. This inflated sense of self, want for power and control and snappy & pitiful attitude doesn’t go away when Rokuro enters the picture and becomes fixated onto her. She hated it at first, but the small sense of respect she could feel that he had for her interested her, that interest developing into mutual fixation for the larger woman; why not entertain this further?

She enjoys botany, tea (especially green tea and matcha), carnivorous plants, and anything that can get bloody. She often will stick around Rokuro, visiting him often, and will even join him in attending the venues he performs at. She’s gotten kicked out of the venue once or twice.

As a duo, the two of them are near exact opposites to one another:

Rokuro is a perfectionist, error needs to be corrected as perfectly as possible and as quickly as possible without anyone noticing it happened at all; Masaka doesn’t care about all her mistakes, except for when its in front of her mom, and she uses it to further her quest for personal power in her life, to hell with everyone and their criticism! Rokuro keeps her emotions inside, masking a lot of what she really feels to near perfection, the façade breaking once in a blue moon to show a horribly self-conscious and terrifying reality to her person; Masaka isn’t afraid to let her emotions out, she lets them out too much and too often due to her own emotional instability + mental illnesses that were all present since childhood (and never treated).
