desire is full of endless distances by lipsticktraces - 35.5K - E
Holy cow, lipsticktraces can do no wrong. This is the sequel to dust of summer, dust we eat, which was inspired by Call Me By Your Name but with less age gap and all of the dreamy Italian countryside romantic longing vibes. The sequel is set years later, when the two long-lost lovers reconnect. Beautifully written with so much emotional resonance.
Pink Silk Shane by MightyFeisty - 4.7K - E
The writing is scorching hot in this smutty one-shot. Shane surprises Ilya with a pair of pink panties. They explore new kinks that are also outside my typical interests, but tbh a fic with the line “Every time I pull out, your greedy p---- wants to suck me back in” is undeniable.
Violence Explicit, Hockey Implied by 305_to_my_city - 28.1K - M
Years after breaking up after the tuna meltdown, Shane gets a copy of Ilya's memoir and reads it voraciously, with multiple colors of highlighters, of course. The memoir passages and the surrounding narrative have me completely hooked on this WIP. It's a drop-everything-and-read moment when I get the notification on this one.
you seem pretty sad for a boy in a long-term, long-distance, non-monogamous, low-commitment situationship by pookiewookie111 - 16.1K - NR
Ilya starts taking antidepressants and his dick stops working. Perfectly balanced blend of sincerity, humor, angst, and romance. An amazing exploration of masculinity, internalized stigma, and the mental gymnastics people do when they want to be okay but are definitely not okay.
Feels Like Flying by Royal_Tenenbathbombs - 657 - NR
The ultimate high-concept Hollanov story. In every universe, they find each other. Even when Ilya is a garbage truck, and Shane is a recycling bin. So much more well written (and funnier!) than it needs to be for a premise like this. It might be the best example of crack treated seriously that I've ever read.
