No but Juno Dawson fumbled the bag so hard. she chose to make an episode with the same premise and therefore automatically being compared to a story written by one of the slimiest proudly mysoginistic racist and reactionary fucker who ever wrote for Dr Who, a guy that sucked so hard and refused so much to back down on his transphobia that he got all of his peers pressuring editors and producers to make sure he could never work for these companies again, and she still managed to write a story with worse implications than the audio with the all women planet and they're all huge bitches amirite.
Juno Dawson litteraly had one job and that was to make an episode that was less offensive than talons of weng-chiang. And she couldn't manage that because she was so caught-up in treating the Eurovision as the fun camp colourful event that she treated genocide as an afterthought.
It must suck so much for the people that believe in representation politics and that we're so enthusiastic about the first DW episode written by a trans woman. But to be fair most of these are praising the episode's treatment of its political themes, so you know. I'm sure they'll be alright
