Interstellar Garden
I stand at the precipice of Light and Dark
Gazing at the essence of a soul with no spark
When life whittles you down to such a fragile state
What then do you do to mend your tattered fate?
A road divided, a road of choice
One decision of quiet voice
To the rebuilding of a life of Light
Or succumb to the Darkness with no end in sight
In a world where darkness seeps into the hearts of corrupted men
What must one do to bring about their end?
Is it skillful tongue of persuasion and charm?
Or perhaps it’s the action of brute and harm?
Nay for there is but one secret for the healing of hearts
To take hold of the Dark and tear it apart
Kindness is all it takes to melt the crud off heart of stone
To drop a king from his very throne
For hearts can shine with fractured sunlight
The light of a thousand stars encased in a soul is what can destroy the Blight
These were the things shown as I pondered the soul of life
Why must the world be in such turmoil and strife
I lift my gaze across this gray line I’ve passed
Back towards the Dark that swirls as it has amassed
I look into the Deep and feel it’s ever pulling gaze return mine
For if one gazes into the Abyss it surely returns in time
I feel warmth on my back and turn
I lift my eyes and feel the warmth of Light start to tear and burn
At the Dark that manages to try and take hold of me
The Lights warmth embraces me as the Dark flee
I step out across the universe a wonderful place of sculptured carbon
Walk me through Your beautiful interstellar garden
Every atom is placed as its intended purpose
Just like every single wonderfully made person
Each with a story of their own way paved to the Light
The struggle and everyday fight
Of wanting to be loved and cherished
For it is that Light and fight that makes the Dark perish
The final bout was a duel of three days
The Light overcame the Dark in a glorious blaze
The Light inside us all paved the way for kindness and love
Never ending and sets our sights to the interstellar garden above
