I think in general as Taylor tried to be closer with Keleigh, Keleigh didn’t hold the boundaries that Taylor needs her close friends to hold. It’s fine. There are lots of other people to be friends with. However I do appreciate how Taylor sets that boundary and doesn’t really waiver from it.

I feel like people forget how careless Keleigh was behaving around TTPD release week. Engaging with boundary crossing fan theories and comments. I doubt it was malicious in any way, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the source of the initial fallout. By January 2025, I doubt they were on speaking terms. Between the exhaustion of tour, Blake’s case, supporting Travis in the lead up to the Super Bowl, and aiding other close friends in their time of need, Taylor may not have had the bandwidth to reach out to an already estranged friend. Perhaps the Teller’s thought the tragedy of the fire might be an opportune time to mend fences (as these types of events have a way of bringing people together) and that just didn’t happen.

It seemed like a pretty immediate cool down post Super Bowl in 2024, the Blake stuff ramped up that summer and the fires were Jan 25. So very probable they were already not on speaking terms at that point. I get that it’s deeply traumatic and you want to see an outpouring of support regardless of the friendship status but that’s not always a realistic expectation.

She definitely would have reached out to Keleigh about the fire. I know someone who works at Republic who was affected and Taylor made a private donation to them.

Wow I just saw all this about 🫒 and the way I see it is that her naïveté/stupidity/unprofessionalism made this credit issue into a hot potato and instead of cooling it down they just passed it on to Taylor. She probably expected Taylor would stand up for her or something when the Paramore thing was going on, as if Taylor doesn’t have her own life and career to worry about (and some battles you have to fight on your own if you want to be your own person). Maybe she starting believing Taylor would sue her too (which is weird to think if you’re such a big fan, but see waolom) or worse she and her team actively decided to pass on the hot potato to Taylor. Either way, Taylor never asked for any of this. When really all 🫒 had to do was either let it all cool down or stand her ground on giving or not giving the credit. Instead here we are. Making it difficult for somebody else and also not standing her ground on anything.

I think some of the livvies don't grasp that people in the music industry are At Work (tm) when they're making these songs and that other musicians are their colleagues and not their friend group.

If they are spilling all this unnecessary mess to the tabloids in the lead up to the wedding, no wonder they grew apart. Not the type of people I’d want in my inner circle if I were Taylor

I hope it’s not true that Taylor didn’t reach out after the house fire. I get that she was wrapping up eras but I probably would have ended a friendship too if a friend did that to me

I still think things started with taylor putting some distance on the friendship after keleigh flew too close to the sun with her sm activity, but i could totally see keleigh (not in touch with taylor and possibly a little hurt or miffed) getting influenced by baldoni’s pr campaigns and astroturfing.
