Physical painting for a client. (I really hate using real paint lol, so hard to get colors to remain vivid, plus no digital edit tools)

Small painting for someone. (Its as small as a phone) Due to how small it is, and my limited paint options, this was a pain in the butt lol. (based on a random picture i found online)

I was once scolded for making terrible "Sketches". But I can't help it! I'm terrible at making things look good! It takes me multiple edits until it looks decent! ;_; The 1st two pictures were what I was scolded for ^^; Gotta keep going, can’t let it get me down!

I’m trying to make the tiles for a “darker” underground structure. The 1st picture wasn’t quite right. The 2nd picture was too bright. Now the final 3rd picture seems... well, it doesnt seem quite right either. This is going to be another pain in the butt to figure out! Bah~! Hmm, Trying to guess which direction I should go from here. I think I need to make messier floor tiles, and somehow find a way to make the bare walls a bit more messy as well. I dont want to over do the details, so it doesnt loose the general art direction. But I’m just at a loss for ideas.

I once tried to make a Halloween RPG for a RPGMaker contest. I had 30 days to make the pixelart & the rest of the game. But I spent 27 days just making the art! So with only 3 days left to make the rest of the game, the gameplay was pretty... lame. :< But Trick or treating with it’s atmosphere made me love replaying once a year anyways~ I always tell myself I'll go back and make a full-fledged Trick or treating Halloween RPG, but it would have to wait for me to get so much else done for VS first. (That’s years from now! ;_;) Maybe I should put the pixelart up for people to use. It's not great, but some of it is usable.

Making progress on the battle sprites. I shouldn't detail this one yet, until I make all the animations for it. (I'm not looking forward to animating this one! haha)

I never want to see pixelated rocks again in my life!!! Still so much left to do! ;_; (Gotta stay positive!)

Still working on the cave artwork, and for a LONG time I wasnt happy with how "mineshafts" looked in other games/my own. Then just now I thought of a way to make them in a way i like! Going diagonal helps with the effect, its so perfect! Now to start making this in pixel form! EDIT: added a slightly easier to see version, using assets I had made prior, and slapped together real quick. I know its odd to have shadows, but when making pixel art, it looks too weird not to have shadows, even if in a cave, and the light is from above... I dont know what else to do lol!

I wont lie, Im not enjoying 48x48 pixel density. It ruins the "style" so much... I also hate making rocks... I need to try something different, but I just dont have time to experiment with different ways to make rocks! Oh well~ Gotta keep pushing forward!!

If I ever finish the artwork for VSs game, I would love to make a "Paper Bowsette" game... Of course I'd never be able to, but I can dream~!

Day2 I feel it would be easier to plan out my pixel artwork, if I planned out how each tile will layout in the levels design. So I made this “color coded grid”, to make it easier. Walls=Green. Blue=Floor. The Orange hides the "Box" shape. (The tile is both wall and floor.) I also included two types of “Cave walls”. Im not sure which type I’ll go with. The one on the right is easier to work with, but needs to be a tad bit more cartoony, and less grainy/detailed. (Also thanks to my group, for also sharing my progress in their Tumblr!)

1st Day of my new drawing/artwork schedule! Time to make some pixel art, and draw up some characters for VSs game! Hope they like it, I struggle a lot with so many things, like pixel rock textures, or moving character sprites! ;_;
