The Black Quirky Queer

I'm a queer Black woman living in her corner of the world with a head full of dreams and hope in my heart. My journey to self discovery and Black queerness is very important to me, and it is one of the reasons why I created The Black Quirky Queer, a blog where I express myself and try to be a helpful human being by sharing information and resources as I learn about them.

I hope many of you find it interesting, useful, and share it with those around you. It would make my heart so full if you did!

I've also created a podcast of the same name in an attempt to reach even more people. It's basically an extension of the blog, but instead of reading, you can listen. And it's available wherever you listen to podcasts.

Lastly, my block hand is strong af! Don't be disrespectful, racist, homophobic, sexist, or bring any of that bad mojo over here. Keep it to yourself, or stay away from me.

You know, there was a time that I couldn’t say that because I was closeted and still pined for my family’s love and affection. But now that I’m a grown ass woman who’s accepted herself and has found her tribe who loves her no matter what, I can say—proudly—Happy Pride Month as the Black queer woman I am. And if you are struggling, finding yourself, or you’re just uncertain, don’t worry! It won’t always be like that. Soon, you’ll be able to live in your truth.
