A highly unique late-Gothic artwork depicting holy figures serene amid physical torment. Their blood flows down into a carpet of red roses, symbolically transforming an execution into a triumph of faith.

This votive panel depicts Sivert Grantzin fleeing from enemies. Taking refuge in a cemetery, he kneels in prayer. In a dramatic twist, the deceased rise from their graves as skeletons, arming themselves with bones and scythes to protect the pious knight from his pursuers, highlighting late-medieval beliefs in the bond between the living and the dead.
