The following faces are not those of real people but the creations of an AI neural network. None of them exist.

Mismatched earrings (generally a dead giveaway)

Earlobes. Is one attached and one dangling?

Glasses that don’t look quite right

Teeth - too many, too few, incorrect blending

Additionally, neural nets aren’t great with backgrounds to the images either. Look for wisps of hair or the outline of the person’s face - if it looks like the background itself is being morphed by the person, that’s a good indicator that the image is generated.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that you’ll find any of these things on the images. They all look extremely convincing at a passing glance.

Here are some examples taken directly from the site that I generated just now, images below the cut.

On the left, it looks like he’s kind of posing next to a blob, which to me looks like a very misshapen bicycle seat. Notice how the blob matches the curvature of his face - this does not look normal.

Next, his glasses. On the left hand side, there’s an area in the lens that doesn’t cover his face, so you’d be seeing a distorted background. It just doesn’t seem to match what is we can “see” behind him.

Finally, the creases between his cheeks, and mouth + nose area are not symmetrical. This is a little more subjective and can be swayed by lighting, but to me it seems pretty fake. The crease on the left is lighter and more shallow, while the crease on the right is deeper and darker.
