A request I did for someone over at dA.

I just wanted to make a pic to show how I sketch VS how I line. :33 How I sketch changes often! Sometimes, I don’t make a sketch AT ALL and just go straight to doing line art…sometimes I do a more refined type of sketch that could be line art although sloppy, and recently I started doing sketches VIA the marker tool. I like to do different things because doing the same thing over and over gets boring. Same goes for styles as you can see here, I was trying out a new style. ^_^ Anyways, you shouldn’t get discouraged if your sketch doesn’t look good. I see often times people who focus SO MUCH on their sketches and when their sketches don’t turn out good they go “WELL MY ENTIRE ART SUCKS”…you just have to keep going.  As you can see here by my example, my sketch is AWFUL looking, she even looks stoned LOL!! But once I did the line work VIOLA she’s super gorgeous!!!! Never base how your final product will come out over the sketch x3 ANDANDAND don’t directly copy over your sketches either!!!!!!!!! I’ve learned this the hard way! A lot of people tell me they love my line art…it’s BC I don’t directly trace over my sketches! As you can see here, the lines don’t match at all and there are even tons of little differences. I do VERY QUICK AND FAST line strokes in order to make my line art…((Mostly BC I’m impatient tho and hate spending time on one thing for too long!!!)). And also your sketches are supposed to be there to just sort of help you, give you guidelines on what you ultimately want!! It’s a bit hard to understand until you do it yourself.
