It was a friday night and Phil had decided to go up North for the weekend to see his family so you and Dan had the house to yourself. Movie night was nearly every night in the Howell/Lester/YLN household but the two of you rarely cuddled up together for fear of making Phil feel awkward.
While Dan was in the kitchen making popcorn and grabbing the two of you glasses of orange juice you threw Dan’s classic black and grey duvet (or comforter if your American) onto the L-shaped sofa and opened your laptop. The illegal movie website you always used, cause god forbid you guys actually leave the house to see a film, now had 50 Shades of Grey and though you had heard all of the controversy surrounding it you were kind of curious. At least this way your weren’t paying and therefore supporting the film.
When Dan returned he was awkwardly carrying a large bowl and two glasses. You giggled jumping from the sofa to help him.
“So what would you say to watching Fifty Shades bear?” You asked biting your lip nervously
“Wait you want to watch that? I thought it was rape culture or something” Dan narrowed his eyebrows at you. Timidly you climbed over him on the sofa and quickly pecked him on the lips before sitting between his legs and leaning your back against his chest. He took your hand in his.
“Well yeah but I think we need to watch it before we get an opinion on it you know? For ehm…” You tried not to laugh “research purposes"
The opinion trick always seemed to work on Dan so he shrugged and pulled the duvet up to cover your legs indicating for you to start the film.
The film began and before any of the infamous sex scenes started the two of you couldn’t help but laugh and more often that not cringe at the storyline and acting. It was awful and in many way similar to twilight though instead of Edward showing Bella how he sparkles Christian shows Anna his ‘play room’ - neither of you could decide which scene was worse.
The two of you were about to give up when the first sex scene started and an air of tension grew in the room. It wasn’t like you and Dan didn’t have sex, you definitely did, but when Phil was always in the room next door it always seemed too weird and well, it had been awhile.
Just after the first sex scene you felt something press against your lower back and Dan’s breathing became hitched. You pressed your lips together to stop from smiling, he was getting hot…
