Look at my pupils! This picture is pure post surgery gold. I remember my mom asking me if I was sure I wanted to post it, heh. Today is the one year anniversary of my gastric bypass. It's still far and away the best thing I've ever done for myself. Both pre and post op have been a lot of work but the improvements to my health have been amazing. My knees are better, I no longer have frequent lower back pain. I can sleep comfortably. I was so nervous during the week before surgery. If I could go back and hug my past self and say it will all be worth it I totally would. That girl was so brave and I admire her so much. I've been through so many changes in the last year, inside and out, that I can't help but look at pictures of myself and see someone else. Someone who was pretty even if she didn't know it. Someone who had the strength to change her life. I'm so grateful to her. Thank you to the WLS community here for giving me advice and support, direct and indirect. Your posts have helped me and inspired me more than you will ever know!
