Context: I didn't watch any promo or teasers before Ares came out, so I'm watching some old interview/promo stuff from "Tron: Ares."
I'll be so for real, the actors are really overselling the real world messaging present in Ares to an embarrassing degree. They're also really up-selling the the '82 segment in the movie. Don't get me wrong it was fun sure, but it was way too long and didn't progress the plot as much as a solid 10 minute segment ought to have in what is otherwise such a fast paced movie. They also cannot stop bringing up the NIN soundtrack, though I can't disagree, it's probably one of the best bits in the movie. I <3 Trent Reznor as well. I haven't watched Ares since it was in theaters so I need to give it another watch and revise my multi page review that's sitting in my google docs... Maybe I'll post it here if it reads well lol. We'll see.
Unrelated: I put on Tron 82 (on Disney+) after I ran out of behind the scenes stuff and this is a slightly different edit then my DVD... What's going on...
