Look man I get you just got into leftism and are excited, but screaming “just do a revolution” doesn’t actually do much to help the material conditions of people. If you don’t ground your politics in the reality of the world as it is now, little is bound to occur.

I really, truly, believe that some leftists are incapable of understanding the capacity for things to get worse. We can stand high and proclaim “it’s all bad, so I’m personally detaching myself from acting” and fine that’s cool, but your inaction will harm people in the long run. Things can, and will get worse with a Trump presidency. Pretending both sides are equally bad is playing right into the hands of fascists.

I just downloaded War Thunder, and quickly became obsessed with customizing little airplanes. However, there’s not many queer coded decals :( Does anyone have any bi/queer art in the style of WW2 pinup/war plane nose art?

The biphobia from the queer community is significantly worse than that which I encounter from straight people. Straight people usually react to it with “how do you know?” Or “so basically you’re just gay?” But queer people who are supposed to be on your side will create discourse around banning you and your partner from events, invalidate your identity saying “so basically you’re just straight,” and will at other times completely erase any acknowledgment of you.

One day we will look back on what happened in Palestine much the same as how we now view Rwanda: a genocide committed in plain sight of the international community, ignored in its time, now condemned for its misery. The international community will swear up and down to never forget, that this was an embarrassment, that never again will we let this happen. And it will happen again. I know not where the next genocide will be, but I know it will happen, because reaction to genocide is always post-hoc. You’ll see days of remembrance, days or recognition, and posts about how we will never forget. But their memories only serve aesthetic gain. Because the minute country X devolves into genocide, those same rememberers will have conveniently suffered a passing amnesia. Genocide is political, and its employment serves the wealthy, the powerful. But, it is always preventable.

Apologies in advance but I’m inviting my straight friends to pride so that they can learn and engage with a community that they likely don’t have much knowledge of.
