My name is Ahmed, and I am writing these words from Gaza after the war changed everything in my life. I lost my leg and now live with a permanent disability, but that is not the hardest thing I have lost. Fadel's project was about creating an integrated system for managing the water desalination plant in Gaza electronically. This is an incredibly important project, because Israel has systematically destroyed Gaza's water treatment infrastructure, blocked repairs in countless ways, and targeted workers.
