Saw the new evil dead movie last night and it's good but it's driving me a little insane seeing so many people more upset about the dog than the. Human woman ? The on screen domestic violence? Like do we just come to horror movies wanting to see women brutalized but the fucking *dog* getting hurt is too far. Does anybody in this thread smoke weed

IDK MAN you're entitled to your personal icks but saying the dog violence was the nastiest hardest to watch part of THIS movie is fucking crazy to me. I'm not condemning the movie itself to be clear I thought the #themes were handled well if Really Unsubtly it's just, yknow, maybe I don't quite give a fuck about the dog next to Everything Else. I wish they gutted the damn thing. One million dead dogs until you people learn how to care about a woman

for real tho it feels exhausting that ive seen this whole "woman should be allowed to abstain from X beauty standard" -> "i perform X beauty standard, am i evil? do you think im evil? please forgive me i came up with a dozen excuses 🥺" since like 2015 (and i know its been going on longer than that) like girl thats not the poiiiiint

"i face societal pressure to perform this beauty standard. i should not face that pressure. i conform to this standard. i am rewarded for performing to this standard. i need to respect women who do not perform this standard. this is not about whether or not i am a sinner for wearing makeup."

An issue consistently ignored by supposedly anti-war politicians in America is that West Asian people are people. Everything is about how it affects Americans, American lives, the American economy, American soldiers, American tax dollars. You don't see Iranians, Iraqis, or Afghans as real people who are facing worse things at the hand of your government than you ever will. Yes war money should probably be going to free healthcare but forgive me if the well-being of the citizens of the perpetrating country aren't as high on my list of people to care about as the people affected.

if youre in the US (especially the northeast + michigan) i would avoid bagged salads/greens and generally wash your produce very thoroughly unless you want the diarrhea parasite
