You should not let your dog free-roam. You should not force your dog to accept touch. You should very heavily supervise interactions with children, and with certain dogs, these interactions may never be safe. You must learn to read canine body language. And if a veterinary professional recommends a muzzle or sedatives for vet visits, take these recommendations seriously.

“But I care about my dog more than people” this is in your dog’s best interest. If they maim or kill a person, especially a child, they will be euthanized. You do not want lose them in that traumatic way, ending their life and ruining your own (and those of others) in the process. You do not want to be responsible for the loss of a human life.

Every dog, no matter how sweet, should be muzzle-trained in case they ever need to wear one. Pain and fear can make them act out of character. And if your dog has aggressive tendencies, especially with humans, seek out professional help and take measures to protect both your dog and people.

He was the loveliest, silliest, friendliest dog ever... but he was chaos and a German Shepard crossed with a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Which meant he was the size of a Shep, but had the muscle mass and bone density of a bull-terrier.

The first time he went to the vet for his vaccinations, the vet called him a "Tank of a Dog".

We never walked him without a longline lead attached so we could quikly get control of him because he LOVED children. And I mean LOVED them. So much so he'd charge at them to play. But that dog weighed so much he'd knock a full adult flying, let alone a kid.

I loved that dog, but he could EASILY hurt you accidentally, and we accomodated for that from pretty much the moment we got him, until he had to me put down for health reasons.

After he was attacked by another dog on the beach (While he was on lead, and the other dog was off-lead) Bumble because dog reactive. After that we walked him with a muzzle too. He only ever barked and lunged, never struck first, but it protected him and other dogs from accidents. (It also discouraged other dog owners from letting their dogs approach because "she's friendly!")

It is really not all that hard to get away with murder. A basic amount of foresight and prep will get rid of enough evidence that the police either won't find the killer or will be unable to make the charge stick.

Despite this, most murders do get solved, because someone who decides that murder is the solution to their problems is probably not the kind of person to be levelheaded and careful enough.

I think something very similar is true of sockpuppet accounts. It's not that hard to make a convincing sockpuppet. However, people almost always make sockpuppets as a way of defending their egos, of making it look like they have more support than they actually do. And this passionate defense of someone the sockpuppet ostensibly doesn't know and has no reason to care about is a dead giveaway. So if you want to validate a sockpuppet you have to lose an argument to it. You have to get owned. Once it makes you look like an idiot, basically no one will ever suspect it again.

If your advocacy for Black people stops at Black queer people your allyship is conditional. If your advocacy for Black queer people stops at Black trans fems, your allyship is conditional. If your advocacy for Black people has terms and conditions you have unchecked racist beliefs to unlearn and combat within yourself. That is something you desperately need to address in order to be a genuine ally to the most vulnerable demographics of Black people within our community.
