I unfortunately haven't made more drawings before, and I would make a reference just for this,

But I've been hit with the flu and am permanently too tired to draw, so all I can do is write🏳️

Their name is Sparta the Otter, they're a mad scientist and mostly wear white. With the rare occasion of beige and green.

Their neck n arms are shaved, although the rest pretty much isn't, making it also burgundy.

Update: I just finished the final design, but I just finished this one with the old colours, so sigh

He may look pretty pissed in the art, which is kind of funny, since he's suppose to be closest to Sonic in terms of Personality.

He's a little messed up tho whenever I think about it

I picked the name Sodar since it fits with the whole Soundwave schmick Sonic got going on, another example would be Sonar.

As probably expected, he was made by B.U.L.L.E.T, the splinter organization that was made after G.U.N disbanded. Since they lost their main weapon, Shadow, they decided to make an greater, even more powerful one (By attempt).

And so was Project Primary made. They used samples of the main three random smucks, that has been a thorn in their side for quite a while. Mostly since their relations to Shadow made them notice how Profitable Sally's and Sonic's genes would be in the mix, so they tested it out.

And bam, we got Primary. Or at least that's his code name. They settled for bright, vibrant colours so he'd be unmistakable for any other mobian within the foundation.

And when they decided to get him out of the tube, they've looked over the DNA row of results, and noticed that they in fact, have not gotten the results they wanted. So what would any other scientist do? Scrap the project. [Subtle foreshadowing]

And due to coincidental plot reasons, one of the scientists decided to go deliver that child like a stork. Obviously not sharing their identity, the trio was deeply unsettled.

They had a lot of questions, especially the entire plan of making a child out of the genes for unknown reasons, which pshhh is completely irrelevant! So the scientist dipped, not sharing a thing, with the three pondering what the heck just happened, and what bullet is trying to cause.

Sally did wanted a child, while the rest weren't really ready for one, which obviously meant you'd have to throw it at them. So now that they've received their suspicious Amazon package, they renamed him to Sodar.

They didn't want to keep the lab name for obvious reasons. The name was suggested as a joke by Sonic, but the rest surprisingly went with it in the end.

The rest is Trivia, so if you're not that interested, or have been overly info dumbed, you may skedaddle as you please:

• He's about 17 years old.

• He gets along with his parents pretty well. He might have a little bit of tension with Sonic on rare occasion, due to their different sense of heroism and general morals. He gets along with Shadow and Sally just swimmingly, since they understand his strategic look on things.

• He has a complicated relationship with Mercy The Hedgehog.

• He has strangely weak nerves. Not emotionally, but as in literally not feeling pain when it should've. He's immune to stubing his foot.

• He prefers to wear monochrome because of his painfully mismatched fur colour.

• He's an extrovert and very much prefers to be around people, especially his close ones, and isn't afraid of giving his honest opinion on things.

• He's scarily opportunistic in combat. Oh someone's limping? Perfect, get them quick. Someone has lost their balance? Oh don't mind if I do. There's a blood trail? Today must be my lucky day.

• His favourite colours are minty ones, as well as white, cyan and teal, with a fondness of pastels.

• His favourite biome isn't settled yet, he loves nature as it is, and hates to damage something. No matter if Alpine, Tropical or Desert, he finds quite the vibe in each one.

• His favourite plants are poppies. As well as sunflower seeds, yum.

• He's a appalling mix of Sonic's impulsiveness and Sally's Strategic nature. He bursts in first, and makes the plan on the get-go as he gets a proper look on things.

• He may have took on Sonic's role as a hero, or like a random idolized schmick that knocks the rings out of yer local bad guy, but his morals can be...questionable. Sometimes.

• He can the deeply unsettling, as well as be the purest goofy guy you've ever found at the family dinner. He has a close bond with his cousins, since he's an only child, especially with Aspen and [Unamed Bat Child I Haven't Named Yet]. They go out together like dudes being dudes, despite one of them sticking out to a comical degree.

• He is quite emotional but does a good job managing it under control, and not give someone a free kidney removal.

• He's afraid of researching about B.U.L.L.E.T as a whole. He doesn't want to find out about things he didn't want to hear, or find out something about himself that would change everything. As well as the implications of being the scrapped project, and having a possible sibling out there.

• He hates being existential. He has enough spite for it, to want everyone to be happy.

• He inherited both Sonic's speed and Shadows chaos control. What went wrong is that he isn't immortal, or has the various benefits that Shadow does. Meaning he quite literally has a bomb strapped to his chest the entire time.

• He's got restless legs (Y'know when you keep wagging your foot or leg), and it annoys Sally for the life of her.

• He has a weird pattern of being extra more direct with people when he's alone with them.

• Yeah, he loves Red Dead Redemption 2.

• He has game nights/mornings with Aspen from time to time, depends on which cousin he feels like hanging out with. Can be a friend too!

• He finds the bread of chili dogs a teeny bit too sweet for his liking. He prefers Mexican classics like Burritos, Tacos, Pozole and perhaps sum Tamales. Anything with spice is better.

• He inherited Shadow's sense of drip.

• He has abhorrent gun aim. Never let let him get his hands on anything that requires long-range aiming.

• His equivalent of Shadows Round-house kick is a Parry.

• He often prefers Style over practicality, to the point of others commenting on it, which makes him say "If I die, I die fashionably."

• He would definitely deny or say he doesn't need protection during combat. Yes he absolutely gets mauled by the ground.

• He slides! He always got some sort of stupid sacred soap, or comically induced liquid that lets him slide for hours. Yes he does get overthrown sometimes, that's why he's so obsessed with timing and quick time events.

• He claims that Rhythm games own his soul.

• He may be able to swim, but he sure hates smashing into walls at a velocity of 260 mph. [If he had a game, you could die in those quick time events.]

• He's unlabeled, he'd date anyone who he can't deny feelings for tho.

I ain't got much on them, since they're suppose to be based off the artist (Who is me huzzah)

And other than that, I made them shorter than the rest, even if Mango is the youngest, probably since I suffer from the skill issue of being stuck at 5'3.

I honestly Headcanon that the Sol empire operates differently than a classic Royalty setting, in which they give the main power and responsibility to the one who's from ze bloodline, regardless if it's a King, Queen or liege.

As well as sonic getting sports bandaids due to overdoing things physically, it's only a concept design and I'd change a lot about it.

As usual I made sure the names fit, especially with meanings, so there are Solar n Steam

Some funky lil memory:

Blaze and Sonic had an entire debate on what they wanted to name their second child (Steam), with Blaze wanting to name them Steam, and Sonic wanting to name them Flow. You can tell who doubled down due to finding their wife scary.

Jokes aside, that's his middle name. Basically Steam Flow T. Cat, which is funny to imagine getting said out loud, when he's in trouble. Flow is only used by his family members.

Solar didn't have a big name change, but for being the older one that inherited Sonic's speed, they definitely have the most responsibility and travel to the original dimension.

They do take Steam with em most of the time, which makes them a duo.

I guess it's time for the facts:

Solar:

• They're 18 years old.

• Unlike both of their parents, they're really socially awkward. Whenever there's a social event, they just don't know who to talk to, how to talk to, and simply isn't confident enough to start talking out loud first.

• They have traits from both of their parents, however personality-wise they have their own lean.

• Despite travelling to the original dimension with their sibling, they hold a more significant role then he does. Mostly due to their experience being there alone, and simply because they take a similiar role to Sonic like when he was younger.

• They're completely healthy physically, and don't have any allergies.

• They actually used to wear glasses, but now switched over to lenses as soon as they took the chance to.↓

• Which means yes, if the lenses aren't they're anymore, they get really vulnerable because they can barely see anything.

• Their favourite biomes are whatever would keep them warm. They'd pick things such as Mesa, Desert's and beaches, with Tropics being too much for them to handle.↓

• That is because they're afraid of bugs, that specifically fly at them. As well as Snakes, because they get freaked out by their movement. They aren't a big fan of exotic animals.

• Their favourite plants are daisies. No particular reason for it, other than finding them aesthetically pleasing. They also like Mints and lilies because of how they smell and look, it gives them a strange safe feeling.

• They actually came to terms using the Sol emeralds, and had their try with the Chaos emeralds as well.

• Despite them not being an rather emotional person, they get nervous quite easily.

• They're a realist.

• Even with their Social awkwardness, they're Ambiverted. They genuinely enjoy being around others.

• They tend to be really careful in the original dimension, but they keep seeing themselves getting stirred into trouble one way or another. (Mostly due to their friends.) ↓

• And even so, they rarely ever get mad or even majorly frustrated. They easily forgive their friends, and try to help them even before knowing they're in the wrong. Which might have put them in quite the cyclone before.

• They're afraid of irreversible consequences. They hate the idea of them messing up something so badly, that its beyond repair. Which shows clear during extreme situations.↓

• Theyre also afraid of death. They can't really say why, or pin point it at the fear of unknown, but they certainly don't wanna think about what would happen after it. They get freaked out by the transition of life and death, especially if it happened during an active friends-save.

• They always try to do the right thing, even if it would upset others.

• They were that one kid back then that kept breaking some bone in their body, with the story being absolutely absurd.

• And they also gave up on having pets, since they always lacked the time to care for another living being.

• They use their words first. Physical violence only when necessary.

• As stated before, they inherited Sonic's speed. They have no Pyro kinesis.

• Their favourite flavor would've been mild and more judged by texture, but they really love salty as well.

• They're a fan of accessories.

• They were assigned XX at birth, with them having surgery recently.

• Their favourite Shade is Ruby red, but they also really like the gradient between Light bright green, classic light blue and lavender.

• They'd be a fan of sea slugs if they were to find out about them. Which speaking of which, Snails being their favorite animals. They find their lil eyes silly.

• They get along with both of their parents equally.

• Their room is clean, and left relatively minimal other than it having interesting bright colour combinations.

Steam:

• He's 15 years old.

• Personality wise he's more similiar to Sonic, but having a way sharper edge to it vibe-wise. I had him be a tiny bit inclined to Scourge, just for funsies. He's still his own person however despite it.

• He has destruction impulses, similiar to Aspen. However his are more Setting-Things-On-Fire based.

• He doesn't really have a favourite biome. You cant really count the sky as one, but he digs windy environments. The smell of a large body of water with heavy wind is directly his jam.

• He isn't interested in plants, but likes cactuses because of their pricky nature, and because of how deranged the shapes of them can get. But he also likes Ivy's.

• He was that kid many feared back in the day, for being violent and having a scary lookin stare.

• Even with how he is, he's still morally strong and doesn't go beyond the line.

• He was suppose to stay at the Sol dimension as a sort of protector, due to him willing to be one. But he magneted towards the adventures Solar goes on, and couldn't help himself. ↓

• Despite that, he gets really worried over language barriers.

• He's flexible and prefers to improvise things, and works with things that were simply thrown at him.

• He has a fear of rejection and exclusion. Its mostly instinctual, with a side of memories here and there. It'd basically being denied and gotten rid of by your own people, especially if you're close to them.

• He hates miscommunication and always makes his opinions and motives clear, no matter if his directness and honesty comes across as rude.

• His room is as messy as it could get, but not to a comical degree. He simply doesn't take the time to clean it, since he has other things in mind. ↓

• Although as a contrast to Solar, he owns a lot of black decorations, with an occasional splash of colour. Most of the posters he owns are from horror movies, since he enjoys them.

• He's a certified horror fan.

• He's definetly the type to use physical violence first, and then ask questions later.

• Needless to say, he's still a very physical person. Despite using words perhaps even before acting, he still manages to let his actions speak for themselves.

• He enjoys any flavour that is offered without being picky, although sour is quite his favorite.

• He's the worst thing a intruder could face.

• I personally see him as interested in any type of person, but keep him unlabeled.

• His favourite shade is Burgundy, but he likes Monochrome and any shade of red as well.

• As a kid, he would definitely be frequently mistaken as a schoolyard bully, despite him becoming rather chill the older he got.

• He's closer to Sonic than Blaze, since he feels like he can handle his nature better, which is mutual. No hard feelings towards his mother.
