if I hear one more person say 'it's not about race', it's not for YOU. It's only 'not about race' or 'why are we bringing race into this?' because YOU AREN'T THE TARGET, you think it isn't about race because you aren't a victim, do you even know what it's like to be silenced. Hushed when you're being mistreated for the colour of your skin. Being told you don't deserve rights, hell, even being told you don't deserve to be alive. when they strip our humanity away, dehumanize us. It's only not about race because it was a white man, and god forbid we celebrate because another horrible person dies.
