if your kid tells you they don't want to hug someone, or kiss someone, or do something they're uncomfortable with, and you make them do it anyway, whether you force them to do it, make them feel guilty or embarrassed for not doing it, or whatever, they could end up thinking that whether they give consent or not for anything, doesn't matter.

teaching your kids the value of consent starts with you. just because you are the parent of your child, it doesn't mean you can do whatever you want.
