A small wip of a Sky Kid, I didn't think too much of the cosmetics, so most of them are just made up. I enjoyed the dynamism of the pose. I'm not doing good health wise these days, so I'm going at it slowly. Trying to stay regular even if I can't give it my all.

This project ended up way too ambitious for my level, (and I finished it too late to use as an advent calendar, though I'm going to diy something with it), but ah well, this is useful to know. (apologies for not posting yesterday, I had a very busy day, medically)

More watercolor practice with foxes

"Fairies don't have parents, but if they did, I guess this is what it'd be like to have a father" - Marguerite I wanted to draw my own advent calendar this year, decided to draw my OC again. He's from an alternate universe, but his father figure is an angel masquerading as a catholic priest so Marguerite decided to gift him something for Christmas. This is still a wip, I'm going to try and watercolor it.

Still doing practice, lot of it isn't really showable, this is the only thing that could be poster and it is very small.

I haven't looked at tutorials yet, I wanted to try and paint something as a complete beginner, to try and get a feel for it and what needs to be improved upon.

I really like how the pose came out, Sky kids always makes me want to draw floaty, dynamic poses.

(I've tried to look for a source for the picture but I'm only getting twitter and facebook results that I can't read because I don't have accounts) I think I will try watercolor exercises next in order to understand them better.

Started using watercolors, I've had cheap offbrand watercolor pencils for 10 years, having ACTUAL quality stuff is game changing. I hope I can find a way to incorporate color into my art more. The set is from Winsor&Newton

One of Marguerite's friends, who is an eurasian tree sparrow ! I was pretty satisfied with the drawing, as I'm not used to drawing animals. Need to draw more of them. Maybe that could be a challenge, like the backgrounds challenge I made a few months ago.

Marguerite also has a human form for Major Drip (summer is hard when you hate light, heat, being outside and people).
