So, why can’t the Christmas season be over with? Other than the normal stuff people complain about during this time; rude people, busy stores, snow, etc. My condemnation has a far deeper and more underlined reasoning. Call me Ebenezer when I say, I hate this time of year. No matter what I do in my life to move forward, this holiday season has me peddling in reverse. I am perpetually busting my ass to better myself physically, emotionally, economically, spiritually, or what have you, BUT it is NEVER enough. It is just so discouraging to watch everything you have worked for throughout the year smoldering at your feet. I experience the proverbial trifecta; heart disembodiment, slap in the face and continually being punched in the stomach. Yet of course, year after year, like an amnesiac I work for the pinnacle again and see it melt before my eyes. Lets just hope for a speedy conclusion so I can ready myself for next year’s disappointment.
