This section is very much about lighting. The funny thing is, Lex actually obeyed orders this time… even if Clark never came back lol. Hopefully I can color the last five sfw pages soon! For those asking, I haven’t finished the nsfw pages yet so they’re not posted anywhere. At this point, I’m thinking of finishing them once everything else is finished just because I want the full story to be out asap;;

superman: -catches me-

sigh okay well i’m sort of insecure about this because i don’t do backgrounds nearly as often as i should, but practice makes perfect i guess

“Look, I don’t know where I am, but I do know that no version of myself from -my- freakin’ universe would listen to that -dweeb-.”

Kon dragged a hand down his face and wished for the thousandth time that this was going well.

“Look-” Kon snarled slightly as he tugged his younger self down by the lapels of his jacket, using his strength to connect the Kid’s feet to the ground. “Robin is our Team Lead. He’s our top tactician-”

“Yeah-” Sneered his younger self in derision, pulling out of his grip and jabbing a thumb back at Tim behind them. “And when the hell did that decision get made? Where was the -real- older me and why didn’t I -stop- it?”

“Robin is-”

“-Total jerk, couldn’t lead his way out of a paper bag-”

“-my friend and-”

“-just let me off the crazy train to dumbsville-”

Both of the clones were at each other’s throats, nearly foaming at the mouth. Kon’s face burned, his nails digging into his palms as he avoided sending his younger self back to the past with one hard kick to the ass.

How the hell had Tim dealt with him when he’d been like this? All cocky and hardly willing to listen? So damn childish and arrogant?

“I’m not gonna trust my life with that flake-” The Kid spat, pointing in Tim’s direction-

Tim, who had to hear all of this. Tim, who was somehow still setting up the system to send this little shit home-

Kon snapped.

“Robin is not a -flake- you little punk! Robin is-”

“His boyfriend.” Tim said, smoothly, gently, drawing his arms around Kon from behind and turning the Super around to kiss him softly on the lips.

It wasn’t a showy kiss, or a deep one either, but it was still slow and sultry in all the ways that made Kon tingle down to his toes and get attentive in all the best places.

He melted a little when Tim let him go, and he was left smiling as the Boy Wonder walked casually back to the consoles and continued to calibrate the machines.

A choking spluttering sound reminded Kon that his younger self was still hanging around- but when he turned to give him another piece of his mind the Kid was nowhere to be seen.

Kon ended up walking back over to Tim, staring at the empty space his leather clad self had been stealing.

“What happened to the protection of proper time lines and all that, Rob?” Kon asked, something near a mumble, pressed against the back of Tim’s neck as he held him close.

“Even though you’re gone, the memory of you will always remain…”
