While racism is ultimately the root of it all, I have to point out; when many people think of 'beauty' as a whole concept, dark skin doesn't factor into their minds. I'm not even talking about different features, eye shapes, lip sizes, nose shapes, cheekbones, etc. I'm talking about skin color. Someone having brown skin exempts them from being considered beautiful in the minds of such people, regardless of any and all other features they may have. Think about that for a while.
