do yall remember when the skies turned orange here and everyone was freaking out about how bad the air was to breathe in?
two weeks ago, the same thing happened in Gaza with a huge sandstorm kicking up all the debris and toxicity into the air, except no one had anywhere to go. this storm destroyed tents, literally ripped through the little between families and the harsh weather. people are still trying to find the means to fix what has been destroyed. and just yesterday, another rainstorm hit.
my fiancé hammad (vetted @gazavetters #625) and his family, have been living in these circumstances like so many others for so, so long.
but there is really, really good news. my fiancé was able to find an apartment to rent — real walls and floors and a roof, with real beds, a real place for his little nieces to run around and actually be sheltered. how many of us take our homes for granted?
hammad signed a contract promising to pay $5000 in three months for a down payment and rent during that time. if we don’t raise these funds in time, they’ll be evicted.
so take a deep breath. relax your shoulders. unclench your jaw. stretch your neck. calculate what you would be able to give.
i know this is a large goal, but we can show up as a collective and achieve this! ↪️⭐️ 50 of you are needed to contribute $100. 100 will be needed to gift $50, and 200 of you are needed to give $25 ⭐️↩️
