instead? just mark all ads as "repetitive” or “irrelevant”- something that doesn’t give them information on how well the ad catered to your tastes.

Side Note: I’m not quite sure how “Already Purchased” would be interpreted - it could either be a positive sign that you liked the content because you bought something similar, or a negative sign that you don’t need to see similar ads because you’ve already purchased the product. Be cautious if you’re going to use this one.

In general, these recommendations are generated from machine learning algorithms, which in this case are probably trying to predict what would be relevant to you based on what was relevant to you before. Those algorithms stop working if you give them bad information/too little information to work with. Give them bad information.

Alternatively, if you have the option to select nothing, that’s a good move too. That way, it truly cannot adjust to your preferences because you haven’t said anything about your preferences. I’d argue this is the best option.
