i think the nct members have really laid out their feelings on the matter that leave no room for misinterpretation, especially with chenle emphasizing that he hopes we don't believe rumors online about mark leaving for this and that reason, and that's what helped me with the transition of mark's departure far more seamlessly than heeseung's departure. if idols were allowed to express their feelings on the matter more then i think engenes would've been able to cope with the outcome easier

this situation is super unique to nct and i'm not gonna credit sm entertainment for it because it was the decision of the nct members to speak up and handle this situation in the way they did. i just hope engenes don't use this to say "why couldn't enha just send a message about heeseung if they really wanted to?" when we don't know their situation. nct has their own personal instagrams and more seniority in the industry. plus, we know from those hybe internal reports that jake's been silenced in the past for trying to speak up on controversies to clear the air with engenes (the starbucks incident + itaewon thing)

This is Mark's decision—probably a difficult one with heavy consideration too—and I of course will wholeheartedly support the path he had chosen for himself. It may not be the path I had envisioned at first (because I fully believed 7dream will be dancing Trigger the fever like they're still in their 20s at like 80 or something lol) but if it involves him, his happiness and well-being, then who am I to go against what he wants?

Reading Mark's heartfelt letter was bittersweet too. It was beautifully written, a goodbye letter that almost felt like a promise of coming back? Whether as an artist or something else veering away from what he was once to us, I will wait for that day. Doesn't matter how long, or how he'll do it, just know I'll greet him like a close friend i haven't seen in years but still so excited to reunite with.

I'm not angry (gosh I could never be), just mostly sad and maybe still in shock like I still can't really believe that this is all real, and yet at the same time I also kind of made peace with it. I haven't been with them long, but I do know that Mark has been in this industry for more than a decade. He has done so much and pushed through even with the hellish schedule he's been given time and time again.

He deserves to properly rest, to breathe without having the crushing weight of being put on a pedestal by hundred, thousands or even millions of people, and live life the way that he wants to.

As Jisung said, 'nothing lasts forever, but just as the wish for something to be eternal is love, I think the feeling of not wanting to let go, yet wanting to let them go, is also love'.

hi guys, i redownloaded tumblr again just to make this statement but heeseung leaving enhypen has caught many of us off gaurd. i think everyone is devasted by this and yes i know everyone is thinking about a future with enhypen as six and honestly I don’t want that either.

i came here to spread awareness about what we could do as a fandom. please refer to this thread first of all.

fuck the company and their self preservation. hesseung should be allowed to pursue solo music endeavors while still being part of enhypen. none of this makes sense at all and I sincerely hope heeseung didn’t feel backed into a corner with the ultimatum of pursuing his dream to make music or push that aside for the sake of enha as the company envisions. heeseung & the boys deserve the freedom to be the musicians they want to be and still continue as enhypen.
