The IOC just announced that no Russian athlete is allowed to start for Russia. So technically Russia is banned from the Olympics.  But Russian athletes are allowed to start as independent athletes after a lot of paper work and blood test, ect.

Just leaving this here for reasons

After all the struggles I really hope he’ll find back to old strength and gets a reward for all his hard work. In fall he started a fundraiser to make sure he could participate in the Olympics in January. You could buy a spot for a photo of yours on his rifle. It went through the roof and sold out very quickly.  People still donated money. So every cent that was over his initially goal he did donated to the organisation german cancer aid in memory of Klaus Siebert, who died last year from cancer (He last was trainer of Darya Domracheva) Just wanted to share this with you to show how much of and amazing person he is and deserves all the good in the world!
