A new hidden stat. It is an obvious one, so I’ll let you find it in the chapter. It’s not here to make or ruin your playthrough, so don’t fret about it and choose what is suitable for your Oracle! :) It’ll mostly give you additional flavor text depending on the other choices you make in the future.
There are lots of variables and branches at work, and I couldn’t go through all of them. I’ve been waiting for this chapter (this and the next one) for so long. When I was coming up with ideas for this story, the last scene of this chapter was among the first things I wrote down. At last you can guess where I’m leading the Oracle and what their journey will look like. Their journey and their growth... or downfall. And you’ll be the one to decide what it is and what the Oracle thinks of it :)

If there is one piece of advice I can give to writers (or any creator, really) it’s to learn to differentiate between the good, the bad, and the ugly reviews. This is something I learned through a career of responding to online business reviews, industry scores, and customer feedback surveys.
Good reviews should be celebrated, shared with others on your team, and acknowledged. Don’t be afraid to celebrate your wins, even, especially, the small ones! Go back and read them when you’re feeling self doubt. Use them as a focus or prompt when you’re in the midst of writers block. Think about what you’re doing well and how you can maximize that.
When I refer to a bad review, I mean a criticism that is written respectfully and has some truth to it. Those reviews are disappointing to receive, obviously, but what can you learn from them? Try not to get bogged down in what you did wrong; instead, focus on what you can do to improve. And trust me, there is always room for improvement, whether we want to admit that or not.
Finally, the ugly is just that. These are the trolls, the criticisms from people who are talking out of their ass. And 100% of the time, it has nothing to do with you or your story. These reviewers are upset at something in their own life and are using your platform to vent. Maybe your story hit a sore spot, triggered a bad memory, or just happened to appear on their screen in the middle of a bad day. That’s on them. As much as it sucks to receive those reviews, believe me, they have nothing to do with you. Don’t engage. Delete them. Let them disappear in the void of anonymity. And then go back and reread a good review.
This post was prompted because I’m in the middle of responding to a bad review right now (in my career, not writing) and it felt like good advice to share. I’ve seen some posts from disheartened authors and I hope this helps you sort through the muck and appreciate your craft!
You sit on the edge of the bed, knees pulled up against your chest, your best weapon ready for use - big, pleading eyes directed directly at S. The look. The one that won you the last piece of cake, an extra hour's sleep and a shoulder massage after a particularly grueling mission.
It's always a close call. But surely, surely, it could win you this.
“Not even one?” You pout.
S, indifferent, stands by the window with their arms crossed. Their expression doesn't change...well, it does...they seem even more stubborn. That slight narrowing of their eyes—it means trouble.
“'Not Even. One.”
You let out a dramatic sigh and fall limply against the mattress. “But we'd make a really, really cute one.”
S raises an eyebrow and pushes off from the wall, finally making their way to you.
And just like that, they take the bait.
In one fluid motion, they climb over you, trapping you between their knees on either side of you. Their hands press into the sheets beside your head. “And tell me, who do you think would get the most of your attention? Me and this hypothetical little attention-seeking menace?”
You burst out laughing before meeting their gaze and biting your lip. Hard. Trying not to laugh any more or grin. “Are you telling me, you're jealous of a baby that doesn't even exist?”
S breathes, indignant as if the concept of jealousy were unknown to them, before leaning in to brush your lips with theirs. the ghost of a kiss that sends a shiver down your arms. “I'm not jealous. I'm just...” Their fingers trace your jaw as if it was made of glass before lifting your chin, their voice dropping to a low murmur."Not interested in sharing."
Your pulse stumbles. Heat coils low in your belly.
You breath hitched, but you managed a teasing smile. You cant' lose this fight. "You're ridiculous."
“And you're mine, doll.” S retorts, smugly. With an almost painful slowness, they press their lips against the column of your throat. “ So stop putting ideas into that pretty little head of yours.”
Just enough to tease, to make you ache. Then, deliberate. Possessive. A slow drag of lips and teeth that has your fingers twisting into the sheets.
S's lips are warm against your skin, teasing and full of promises.
That's when you understand. You don't have them, they have you. S is a threat, a trap, yet being a prisoner doesn't bother you as long as they're your captor. Another sigh is wrung from you, but this one has more to do with the way their fingers graze your hip, squeeze your waist, graze one of your nipples.

With sadly Dion hiatus and our Tracker of News missing, we're in desperate need of some members!
As such, we are looking for new official members (>+2) to officially help out with the making of this weekly Zine.
Tracker of News (1+): someone who will check the different output of IF releases and events, and compile the list for the weekly release, incl in the database. The database already include 500+ projects, incl most of the currently active ones. Knowledge of tags to follow or websites to check is a plus. Keeping up with VN news would be amazing.

Social Media Poster (1): someone who will post announcements (new issue, next interview, other) on our different accounts (X, Mastodon, Bluesky, Itch Devlogs, CoG Forum). Potentially will need to interact with other users tagging/replying to us on those platforms.
From past experience, we expect a couple of hours per week to complete either the task. You won't be assigned any other duties than the one you signed-up for (unless you want to contribute more).
A Discord username is preferred for communication.

This has been a wonderful year. I want to thank everyone for reading my story, commenting, and sharing it with others. I can't even describe how much I appreciate your interest and support. Before I published TAS, I couldn't imagine having so many amazing readers. There are already 2K followers here alone, which is a terrific number I can't comprehend.
Creating something I love, being able to share it with you, and meeting such a kind reception is like a blessing. Sometimes I just can't believe I've reached this point; it was so far away before, unreachable, unreal. You truly bring joy into my life and motivate me to continue writing. So thank you from the bottom of my heart 💛

I wrote new year stories, which are now available for everyone for free. It's a scenario with an alternative holiday (what if demons celebrated the New Year like we do?). Each story is 1K words for every character, wish established relationship with the Oracle.
