Kat felt the click of handcuffs on her. Who was the cause is what threw her off. She thought it was Batman but it was Owlman. "What the hell is this?" She glared obviously not happy being confined. "You better have a good reason for cuffing me."

He released his hands from the cuffs, revealing a blinking red light on the right wrist.

"You have thirty-five blinks to remove the cuffs...otherwise, you will have to start learning how to throw blades left-handed."

Headcanon: the Candlesticks

An idea I’ve had in the back of my head for a while…the idea that Earth-3 Jason’s first encounter with Owlman was the classic “he was trying to steal the hubcaps off my car” scenario, except in this world, a couple of Owlman’s henchmen catch Jason in the act and drag him to their boss, and are all “hey, we caught this kid trying to steal your hubcaps, you want us to make an example out of him?”

And Owlman takes a look at this starving street kid/wannabe criminal who was probably gonna hock the hubcaps at a recycling center so he could eat something that night, and tells his henchman “it's okay, I told him to take off the hubcaps and get them cleaned for me -picks up a nearby pair of antique silver candlesticks and tosses them over to Jason- you might as well take these too while you're going there".

#;Headcanon #//full disclosure I've never got around to watching Les Mis in full but a while back a friend explained the Candlesticks moment to me and-#-it really resonated with me; i.e. an authority figure acting in a kind and charitable way rather than just mindlessly following-#-the moral status quo.
