    “It’s for WILDLIFE CONSERVATION. Giving a voice to save those who can’t speak for themselves is a VERY worthy cause !!”

        he sighs, growing tired of the seemingly endless attempts to bring his truck back to life. he twists the key in the ignition; whoops of happiness leave his mouth when he hears the familiar grumble of his now-healthy truth. ‘ fuck yeah ! ‘ 

   A triumphant smile finds itself a home upon her lips, the purr of his engine MUSIC to her ears. She’s done it again !! “I hate to say I TOLD YOU so,” she leads, looking very much like the cat that got the cream, “but I told you so.” 

     Lunch hasn’t even been in session for that long but, already, Jughead’s devoured his own sandwich. The line isn’t as long as it was, before. He could go get another. “Sure.” he replies, wiping his mouth the the sleeve of his shirt. He swallows down the urge to burp, eyeing Betty’s sloppy joe, now. “You gonna eat that?”

    “It’s all yours, PAL.” With that, she pushes the tray towards him, but not before plucking off the small container of apple sauce. That’d tie her over ‘til the last bell -- maybe. “Just the two of us later, okay ?? I’m not plannin’ on treating anyone else.” 

             ❛ NOTHING —- if you’re trying to impress your ninety-year-old grandmother. ❜ she eyes the fabric with distaste, nose wrinkled and lips pursed. though she’ll fight for every woman’s right to wear whatever the hell she pleases, she can’t stand by and watch her friend drown in unsightly material. it hurts her eyes. ❛ seriously, betty. prada has a more flattering wardrobe. ❜

     “I’m NOT going to disagree with that last thing -- ‘cause that sweater you put PRADA in the other week ?? Seriously cute.” Still, she lets out a sigh, twirling a loose tendril around her finger. “It’s not like I need to impress anyone. My only plan for the day is working on Archie’s car.” 

       “And you’re you.” It’s spoken lightly, pleasantly, as she manages a laugh. “I’m, ah – Kim Possible. What’s your name?”

    “Oh -- I -- uh -- well -- I already KNOW who you are.” Way to come off like a CREEPY STALKER, Betts -- but its not like Kim isn’t FAMOUS -- ‘cause she is. Any GIRL kicking some major butt is NUMBER ONE in her book !!      “Who -- me ?? I’m just -- I’m Betty. Betty Cooper. I’m sorry to be such a bother Miss -- Kim.”

     Archie does suffer from an almost debilitating bought of stick-to-itiveness, he’ll give her that much. He’s sure that his lack of a verbal response is confirmation enough, for her. “Maybe she’ll get sick of him.” Jughead suggests. “If she’s anything like Reggie, she’ll want a new toy, soon enough.” He doesn’t say a better one. There’s nobody better than Archie.

      “We BOTH know that’s not gonna happen.” No one gets sick of Archie Andrews. Despite his FLAWS, he’s one of the most beloved students at Riverdale High ( at least by the STUDENT BODY ). “I’ll just -- I’ll move on. It’s FINE. I’m the one that ended things anyway. I should be okay with all this.” SHOULD being the KEY WORD.
