How in the heck do you find shiny water colours?!

The gold is Fine Tec watercolour, I saw it used on youtube and found it on amazon! I cheated a little with the silver, its actually windsor and newton metallic ink. The blacks are regular black drawing ink applied with a teeny nail art brush

Since I kinda liked explaining the thought process of my last painting I thought I’d do it again. Here’s the refs I looked at, just lifted from google images and pasted onto a psd doc, some experiments to decide what colour to make our fishy friend and the raw scan. I always doctor the colours of my scans because they seem so washed out when they’ve been through the machine for some reason.
