this is something i’ve touched upon a couple times before, but i felt like going a bit more in-depth and i have 24/7 blorbo brain, so here we go

Okay, first of all, my honest first reaction seeing Ignis' pompadour and even Gladio's mullet was 😩 the XV dev team is led by old Japanese men lmao. But on a more serious note, it is true that the hair was definitely A Choice, and it was a choice based on what the devs were familiar with. A pompadour stands for all the things that were mentioned here, and we can see these even in the way Ignis moves after the timeskip. There is confidence, there is swag, but also dare I say, there is rage there, but one accepted and let go.
