Trash can of the universe

Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.

It’s not a bad thing, I just saw someone say “we never said who would eat the rich” and realized a lot of y’all might not have heard the full quote

It’s from Rousseau and it’s “When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich"

"We are starving. There is no more bread, and we have nothing to eat."

The rich man said,

"Not my problem you don't work for your bread,"

as if he did not snatch away the grain by his own greedy hands and create filling bread for his own overflowing mouth.

The poor cried,

"We are dying. There is no more medicine, and we're all ill."

The rich man said,

"Not my problem you don't take care of yourselves,"

as if he did not buy all the medicine and raise prices so high

the gods themselves would not

be able to reach.

The poor people

stopped crying,

and the rich man was satisfied...

Until they came knocking at his door one night;

their faces were sunken,

their flesh decaying,

their eyes sightless.

They were monsters

of the rich man's

own making.

As they devoured his flesh,

the rich man cried,

"Please, spare me!"

The ravenous zombies said,

"Not our fault

you fattened yourself

Back at it again with the BBC radio adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes stories. Michael Williams’ Watson has a soft moment in an episode where he comforts a frustrated Holmes. Watson’s voice is quiet, almost whispering, and you can hear both their deep breathing in the silences between words, and I couldn’t stop thinking about Watson embracing Holmes and holding him in one piece with his arms. My heart breaks in a million pieces for them.

I rarely post art here because the tagging system seems to hate me and half the times my posts won’t show on the search engine for the first few days. I honestly post more on my shipping twitter Dapperpunch.

Also most of what I sketch on my free time is explicit stuff so I can’t post it here even if I wanted but I digress.

The Cornish coast might be a tad lugubrious, but it also has its charms.

I’ve been trying to draw Granada Holmes and Watson a bit more stylised so I can draw them faster and a bit more animated, but still making them recogniseable as Brett and Hardwicke. I guess I’ll have to draw more and practice :V
