and just like that the first week 2014 has passed by. i'm the type of person to continuously rape the repeat button on a song or a few couple songs at a time - maybe for a day or a couple of weeks. guess it depends on new musical discoveries and even more on what's going on.  so i decided to open up an 8tracks account and make a playlist of the songs i've constantly been listening to during the last few days of 2013 into the first week of 2014. it should say a lot really.

as part of my first ever attempt to set resolutions for myself this new year, i've promised myself to have an answer ready when the year ticks down to that awkward part of the year between chrismas and new year, and undying question comes up: "where has the year gone?" 

i've decided to have answer ready by trying keeping track of the moments of 2014 through a blog. i know i've attempted many times to keep a blog only to fail (read as: get lazy). i haven't actually touched tumblr in months. but i have a good feeling about this run at it.

2013 definitely isn't a year i'll be fond of looking back on. it seems pretty dark in hindsight to be honest. i know i'll be carrying the weight of 2013 for sometime, but don't worry, it wasn't all that bad. i'd write about it, but it seems i'm finding myself too busy trying to settle in to 2014 now.

so here's to the adventures, to the laughs, to the heartbreaks, to the throwbacks, to everyday phenomena, to the memories to come, to the endless possibilities, and to lighting up 2014.

Make mistakes. Learn. 

Here's to the birth of my new tumblr, to something more personal, to something more me, to memories and moments captured, to my story told through words, pictures, music and anything under the sun.
