As of the time of this post, AO3 has been scraped by yet another shady individual looking to make a quick buck off the backs of hardworking hobby writers. This Reddit post here has all the details and the most current information. In short, if your fic URL ends in a number between 1 and 63,200,000 (inclusive), AND is not archive locked, your fic has been scraped and added to this database.
I have been trying to hold off on archive locking my fics for as long as possible, and I've managed to get by unscathed up to now. Unfortunately, my luck has run out and I am archive locking all of my current and future stories. I'm sorry to my lovelies who read and comment without an account; I love you all. But I have to do what is best for me and my work. Thank you for your understanding.

synopsis: sometimes it matters that you are his wife.
pairings: Alhaitham, Ayato, Diluc, Kaeya x fem!reader (separately)
tw: fluff, established relationship, a little bit of bullying, a bit of unwelcome drunk flirting, characters are whipped for their wives
word count: 5.4k+ words
a/n: part 2 can be read here!
AlhaithamÂ
Your husband is⌠Truly something. Honestly, thatâs the best way to describe this epitome of nonchalance, smugness and sarcasm, sprinkled with sharp glares and served with a smartass sauce. No one would be able to swallow such a nasty pill, yet you somehow managed. But thatâs what doctors say, right? The medicine might be bitter, but itâll get better. And it did.
Hard to believe, but the Akademiyaâs Scribe is enamored by you - it took time to realize, many interactions for him to see that you do not rise annoyance in him, multiple times sharing the eye contact and hundreds of hours being your interlocutor to cognize the beauty of you, but when he fell - he fell hard, and the realization didnât make him feel repulsed. On the contrary, it brought him inexplicable peace, and, being an efficient and straightforward man he is, Alhaitham faced you the very next day and asked out on a date.
The rest is history. You dated, you moved in, you got married - the sequence your husband perfected in its briefness to be over with quickly anytime his colleagues or anyone asked about you and your relationship. You, of course, would give a more detailed summary to your friends, speaking of him so tenderly, always witnessing the same reaction - disbelief. And you get it where they come from - after all, your partner is known to not be the most cordial person. He prefers it that way though - he is bothered much less and can dedicate that free time to his lovely wife.
He makes it a point to not leave the house unnecessarily early, just exactly enough to get to his office on time, and same with finishing his work, bluntly rejecting anyone who tries to approach him with stuff. This way he doesnât waste a second with you, quite on contrary, sometimes a couple of hours can be added, if you visit him during the afternoon to go grab lunch together, or enjoy the one you brought with you, and then rest somewhere in a private spot with your head on his shoulder, holding a bigger hand that is resting on your thigh, while his other one is occupied with a book. This is enough to power you both up to push through the rest of the day, and Alhaitham really appreciates it, never failing to give you a kiss on the lips and murmuring the soft words of reassurance, before parting your ways till the evening.

Iâm gonna give yâall the tl:dr at the beginning
Likes arenât feedback. What I want on my work is feedback.
I define serial-liking as reading through a series or masterlist and only liking each work, giving no other signs of life. I know some people like fics to come back to later, but thereâs no reason I should see âSo-and-so just liked As It Was Part1, Part2, Part 3 etcâ in that case. You would just like the Masterlist or the first chapter NOT each part and the extras too.
This post isnât even about reblogging (which readers donât do enough of either but thatâs a whole other post for another day), this is about a complete lack of communication from readers.
I write for myself but I share it because fandom is a community. This should be a two-way street! Iâm here to meet and talk about the things I love with other people who love them too!
When you serial like my series or my masterlist and say nothing, what Iâm getting is âI like this work but I donât appreciate you for writing it. I like this but not enough to make sure you continue it.â A like doesnât even automatically translate to âI like thisâ anymore! More like âI saw thisâ. I canât infer that you read my work much less what you thought of it. Itâs disappointing and disheartening.
And since the common rebuttal to any writer who complains about the lack of readers doing the bare minimum is ânot sure what to say/too shy to say a lotâ here are some suggestions of short replies that Iâd be thrilled to get (more than welcome to copy and paste these if you need my permission for that):

Nice job!
Super cute!
Literally anything youâd find on those encouraging stickers you give to elementary students
Cuz thatâs what we want!! Encouragement!!
Weâre spending hours, days, weeks on chapters that will take you minutes to read. All weâre asking as that you show you care about the person behind the fic and arenât treating us like content machines.
Too often writers have to say theyâre considering leaving before they get feedback! SHOW US YOU CARE NOW! I promise itâll get you even more because it wonât feel like weâre posting our work into the ether. Treat us like people or youâll slowly lose us all.
If youâre shy, THATâS what the anon feature for asks is for! (Since a lot of ppl like to use it to be trolls and need to be reminded of this) Anon is where you can say all the ooey-gooey things about a fic you liked but not have your username attached! Thatâs where you can give us feedback and encouragement anonymously!
You should be showing appreciation to creators of content you consume and for me, likes are not it.

I leave a comment on every single fic I read. Sometimes when I read published books I go and leave a comment somewhere the author can find it. Granted, I literally majored in âleaving comments on ficsâ (English Education), but once you start doing it it just becomes second nature. Now youâre gonna go to the Ozymandias school of leaving comments:Â
Problem: I canât leave kudos again.
Beginner: This is a second/third/fourth Kudos
Advanced: This is my second/third/fortieth time reading this, I still love it so much. Here are a few new things I noticed. I like the way you personally do x, y, z compared to other authors Iâve read (in this ship/genre/fandom).
Problem: I donât know what to say :(
Beginner: Just list what you did to read this fic. âI stayed up late reading thisâ, âI read this on a crowded trainâ, âthis kept me company while sickâ.Â
Advanced: X,Y,Z parts made me get butterflies, and I had a physical reaction to this part of the story, I squealed outloud when characters did x,y,z. I blushed at this part. I laughed out loud here. Whatever.Â
Problem: Iâm embarrassed to leave a comment (what if I annoy the author?)
Beginner: Short answer: you wonât EVER annoy the author (unless youâre needlessly mean) But to start, be generic, you donât have to spill your soul in the comments section. âI liked thisâ âI enjoyed reading thisâ ânice ficâ.
Advanced: This really meant a lot to me that you wrote this. This is something I feel like Iâve always wanted to read. This fic hit me in all the right places. Etc.Â
Problem: I donât know how to express myself/my experienceÂ
Beginner: My beginners go to is to highlight a line, put that in your comment and say âi liked thisâ or to identify basic emotions you had while reading and comment those âthis made me happyâ âthis part made me sadâ âi almost criedâ âyou made me laughâÂ
Advanced: âHighlighted lineâ This line made me smile because it has to do with character development/itâs really romantic/itâs so unique/itâs moving. Sometimes I donât highlight a line at all, I just talk about the stuff Iâve noticed were unique to the fic. âI love the way you did this particular thing with this characterâ.Â
