So in the revelations of the Epstein files, we found out that the accelerated push of transphobia over the last 10-years was fully manufactured and ran directly through Epstein himself (he specifically mentioned liking Trump's transphobia despite not liking his other policies), with dozens of emails about that specifically about directly or shit like Epstein and associates bragging about exploiting 4chan and /pol/ specifically to further their goals including demonizing trans people.
But right now right-wing media is running a diversion by claiming akchually The Transgenders were invented by Epstein because one (1) person emailed him to tell him that he thinks trans women would make good sex slaves (and that he thinks trans men are disgusting freaks, but they left that part out for some reason) and one (1) doctor who did do vaginoplasty but already had a bad reputation was an Epstein associate.
