Don’t they know that murder is illegal? You just know there are a bunch of homicidal maniacs out there who love to read those stories. They write them, too, in between killing people.

thinking about how even gay rights just. aren’t taken seriously by your average well meaning liberal. i’m thinking about how coworkers a few jobs ago just chuckled when i said i didn’t want chicfila bc of their donations to anti gay efforts. more recently, a trans girl who works at my gym told me that her bosses wouldn’t let her hang a pride flag in the gym. This is despite it being a place that is largely queer and a strongly ‘liberal’ soace, because “conservatives go here too.” At what point do certain ideas become unacceptable? at what point do we stop having conversations about queer rights because yes we all know gay people deserve rights? “conservatives come here too!” okay and you’re okay with that? you want that? there’s people who will be made uncomfortable by something as simple as a pride flag and you’re okay with that? you’re accommodating it? have some fucking conviction! do the minimum!

Today I put in a solid couple hours of work on a freelance job, cleaned and cooked a massive batch of veggies, and most excitingly, hemmed and hung my new curtains even though they did not come with fusible hem tape as I erroneously believed (and they look much better with a machine-stitched hem anyway).

#they're from ikea and they had an absurd little half-inch bottom hem #now they have a beautiful 2“ hem which immediately makes them look significantly nicer #I kept referring to it as a juicy two inches for some reason. don't know why. hope it catches on though
