It's so fucking baffling to me that hospitals went back to not masking. Like good news, we have lots of empirical evidence that masking prevents infections! Now to go back to walking around this absolute petri dish of a building filled with extremely vulnerable people unmasked
When my dad needed minor surgery I accompanied him to the hospital and of course wore an N95. The staff basically interrogated me as to whether I was sick multiple times in different ways, then finally asked "Why are you wearing that?" And when I said, "I don't want to get sick and this is where the sick people are" they were like oh yeah smart. SO WHY AREN'T YOU WEARING ONE???
