a brow arches and his gaze fixates on rapunzel.  his interest is piqued.  he leans closer to her,  resting his chin on his hand,  as he waits for the mischielf that the blonde dare offers to him.  “don’t have to ask me twice.”  but then dean crosses the back of his head,  and the braeden wavers in his confidence.  if dean knew that ben was getting into trouble..  wait,  who cares if dean knows ben is in trouble?  ben shrugs the thought away and perches up.  “what are we waiting for?  let’s go!”

favorite nephew.  a ghost of a smile tugs at the corners of ben’s lips at the statement.  he squares his shoulders,  straightens his spine a bit,  and warms in the question.    “yeah,  yeah,  i’m doing go-”    he pauses when he puts two and two together and realizes that he’s sam only nephew.  with a disappointed huff,  ben sulks again.    “everything’s the worst.”

ben arches a brow when he waits for the message,  almost giving up when he believes that perhaps she just accidentally buttdialed him.  but just before he moves to hang up,  he stills when he catches the singular word she whispers into the phone before the audible click of the line hangs up.  ben squints in the air in front of him,  the urge to flick her head even states away.  “i’m gonna kill her.”
