I come from a lifeless neighborhood with no color other than the color of blood and destruction.

I was born in 1991.

I'm a girl from a family of seven boys and six girls, and I'm the youngest.

My mother and I live in a house left to us by my father. I studied at university and graduated with a degree in basic education.

I worked in a private job.

I received a salary that covered my and my mother's expenses as much as possible.

We were happy until the war came.

The war on Gaza began on October 7, 2023.

Here, hell began for us in Gaza. I lost my job and became unemployed. My mother owns nothing, and I own nothing.

My mother was displaced to the southern Gaza Strip for 15 months. I didn't go with her. It was months of longing for my mother and siblings.

My brothers Mahmoud and Ashraf stayed behind.

We were displaced several times because I live in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, a border area close to the army.

During the displacement on June 27, 2024, we left the house and raced along the road to escape the shells and planes. Then came the lightning strike. The shock was that death was faster than my brothers could escape...

Here, here, we lost our loved ones. I lost my brothers, the apple of my eye, Mahmoud and Ashraf. Mahmoud left no children. As for Ashraf, he left behind his sons who grieve, and my mother is in pain because they departed to God without a farewell, without a kiss on their foreheads, a farewell kiss. After a while, we returned home. The house had been severely damaged by demolition and stones that had fallen from their places, which used to shelter us and protect us. Now, nothing protects us except some worn-out tarpaulins that do not protect us from the heat of summer or the cold of winter. Our suffering is great, but with your help, we may reach a better and dignified life. I appeal to you to help me support myself, my mother, my loved ones, and my family. What you provide makes a difference in our lives as individuals.

We live in a world that has forgotten the meaning of humanity and giving. May God bless you all.

I previously worked at a multimedia company, but because of the war, I lost my job, my home, my car, and now I have no place to live or work.

During the war, we were forced to evacuate more than four times. Each time, we had to leave everything behind without taking any of our personal belongings.

I live in northern Gaza.

We were displaced to southern Gaza, then to Deir al-Balah, then to Rafah, and now we live in an uninhabitable tent that is not suitable for living.

My daughter Rahaf was martyred in the war due to Israeli airstrikes. Now I have Iman, Malak, Basel, and my wife is in her seventh month of pregnancy.

Please, I am in desperate need of your help just to provide food and water for my children.

I lost my home and we have become homeless."

I really love how clever Pantheon uses its soundtrack especially in Season 1. How music tells its own story and helps to dive into characters inner world. Some tracks made certain scenes just plain awesome like “Monster”, “How does it feel” and of course “Don’t dream it over”. Some just highlights cute and touching moments like when Ellen starts to sing “Alive” after her weird breakup with David, or Laurie tries to connect with Cody the first time after her upload through her favourite song.

And it so cool that besides just using popular and the most expensive “Mr. Roboto” and “Clint Eastwood” the show also helped pretty small and underground artists like GRMLN, Thomas Mudrick, Flat Worms, etc. to gain audience. And the favourite Laurie’s band When in Rome that briefly existed in late 80s and released only one record, such a hidden gem!

Also I kinda always head canon Caspian to love TV on the radio, and recently I just found out that its frontman Tunde Adebimpe voiced the guy from Logarithms who was annoyed by Caspian’s behaviour in S2E1. I dk it’s kinda crazy detail for me!

And I have noticed something interesting about Holstrom’s and Caspian’s music preferences after my rewatch. Holstrom is obviously a diehard Talking Heads fan. Ranting about the greatness of their sound was his go-to pickup line lol. And in case of bad writing Caspian would just be crazy about Talking Heads too. But instead he is more into contemporary math rock and maybe midwest emo, genres that took huge inspiration from Talking Heads with its polyrhythms and syncopations. Maybe it is a stretch, because it’s hard to find an indie band that wasn’t inspired by Talking Heads in some way or another…But still I think it’s pretty cool and interesting detail that not only highlights the difference between their generations, but also implies a subtle connection. Their taste in music is different but both of them still tends to like complex sounds and atypical rhythmic.
