When we last saw the Guardians, they were celebrating their victory during Bright Night, the final great Battle of the Moon, where they defeated Pitch once and for all. Or so they thought. Now, many years later, the Guardians have settled into their final selves, embracing their public images and the Earth Holidays. But the world has not been without evil since Pitch’s imprisonment. First there was the World War, then The Crash which has led to what the humans call a Great Depression. All the Guardians feel the weight of these events, but Jack Frost—now half human, half of his former self Nightlight—feels it the most.

Jack’s transition from Nightlight to Guardian was not an easy one. Always inclined to keep to himself, Jack has become especially isolated from the other Guardians since his transformation. Yet it is Jack who Ombric Shalazar (once a great wizard, now known as Father Time) trusts with a tremendous secret. But for Jack to fully understand this secret, he must revisit his past—and finally tell his story.

1. Who’s the best gift giver? Do they go in on gifts or do it separately?

Hiccup, totes. Either he creates them himself or he just… gets the best gifts. Though he also sometimes cheats by asking Nick for help. Jack isn’t so good with the material gifts - bit rusty after 3 centuries - but he does cute things for his boys. And Jamie buys them small cute stuff that makes him think of his boyfriends.

2. Sleeping arrangements: Do they push the beds together? Who takes all of the blankets in bed? Who’s practically draped over the others?

They are all awkwardly crowded into Jamie’s bed sometimes. It only gets really uncomfortable when Toothless feels left out and decides to cuddle up to his humans too. Jack, not having any body heat of his own, could always drape himself over the others, soaking up their warmth and also hogging their blankets.

3. Who is always in the middle in triad cases?

Jack, usually. Being sandwiched between his boyfriends for twice the warmth.

4. How do date nights look like?

Mostly flying. Between Toothless and Jack, flying is the way to go and since Jamie is just human, flying is basically the most amazing thing he can imagine. Sometimes they just fly to far off islands to study dragons, because we all know Jamie is as much a nerd for those supernatural creatures as Hiccup is. Jack usually lets them nerd out for a while while he plays with Toothless and then they cuddle in front of a bonfire and eat together.

5. Do any members get jealous? How do they act when they do?

Not really, I don’t see either of them as the overly jealous type.

6. Who asked who out? How was the first date(s)?

I think things between Hiccup and Jamie pretty much just clicked after they met and it happened gradually. While asking Jack out was just always… out of his league, in Jamie’s mind, considering he had known Jack since he was a kid. So it’s Hiccup who gives the push there. First date: Ice-skating. And Jack and Jamie teaching Hiccup how. Imagine Toothless laying at the sidelines, rolling his eyes at his human and his human’s new mates.

7. Who brings home stray pets and convinces the others to keep them?

*pointedly looks over to Hiccup and the dragons* Gee, I wonder who would bring home stray “pets”. Well, good thing Jack can now that he’s a Guardian affort an actual ice palace to keep the dragons in.

8. Who are the reckless ones that make Bad Decisions? Who are the sensible ones who follow after them to make sure they don’t die?

Hiccup is definitely the most reckless of them but Jack is prone to getting into trouble too, so it’s mostly just Jamie having to save them. Sometimes with the help of the other Guardians.

9. Who’s the one who remembers everyone’s favorite orders at cafes/restaurants?

Mh, maybe Jamie.

10. Would/do they have kids? Who are the Responsible Parents, who are the Cool Parents™ to the polywogs?
